<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The agent for Seattle SuperSonics forward Reggie Evans has asked general manager Rick Sund to trade his client. Dan Fegan, at Sunday?s game against Phoenix at US Airways Arena, said that since new Sonics coach Bob Hill does not want to play Evans, he recently approached Sund and asked that his client be dealt to a team that could better use his services. ?Reggie wants to stay in Seattle, he likes Seattle,? Fegan said. ?But clearly there is not a role for Reggie on this team. With that said, we would prefer the team trade him to a place that can better utilize his skills.? Sund, on the trip with the team, confirmed that Fegan had made the request but declined to comment further. </div> http://www.thenewstribune.com/sports/sonic...p-4941717c.html We should try to trade for Reggie. He can give us a rebounding and somewhat defensive prescence down low that we desperately need. Plus, he's only 25 years old. Maybe a package of Collins and a pick?
I think Evans is worth a pick, but not a pick and Collins. We're talking about a bigtime rebounder and defender here. Statistically, Evans is one of the best defenders at the power forward position. Also, his rebounding will be much appreciated, especially for New Jersey, a team ranked #18th in rebounds per game. If the Nets can get Evans for a late first rounder, it would be a steal for them, but if they have to give up Collins I wouldn't do it; they need his defense.
