<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Houston (13-26) at Milwaukee (21-18) 8:00 pm EST MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- The Houston Rockets try to avoid a ninth loss in 10 games Monday when they cap a three-game road trip against the Milwaukee Bucks. Two days after scoring 35 points in a double-overtime triumph at Chicago that snapped a seven-game skid, Tracy McGrady dropped a season-high 43 on Detroit on Sunday but it was not enough, as the Rockets were edged by the league-leading Pistons, 99-97. After rookie Luther Head nailed a 3-pointer to pull Houston within 98-97 with 10 seconds to play, Detroit's Richard Hamilton split two free throws, giving the Rockets a shot to tie or win. McGrady was double-teamed and passed to Head, whose 3-pointer bounced high off the rim, and Juwan Howard's tip attempt also missed as time expired. The Bucks have won back-to-back contests following a three-game skid, including a 101-91 home triumph over Charlotte on Saturday.</div> Preview Courtesy of ESPN. Discuss.
Rockets got a win from Bucks. No bad at all. Hays still gives very good numbers while Head seems to lose his touch. T-Mac scored 41 again..It's so hard to believe one can score so many pts every night....Especially his back is not recovered yet. However, it's not so suprising compared to Kobe's crazy performance yesterday.
Hey, the season ain't over yet. If Kobe can score 81 points then I don't see why the Rockets can't get back into the playoff race even being this far out of it right now.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TmacGarnett:</div><div class="quote_post">my fears are coming true where we will win alot of games and not make the playoffs</div> I'm conflicted. The practical side of me believes it will be for the best if lose a bunch of games and finish with less than 30 wins. But while watching the games, I find myself rooting for the Rockets to win. If we can somehow sneak into the playoffs, even as an 8 seed, it's all good. Otherwise, the whole thing is for nothing.
Ok this is exactly why i said head should take more initiative and drive to the basket instead of alwayz taking the three
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">my fears are coming true where we will win alot of games and not make the playoffs</div> Amen. Although I want the Rockets to win, I'm scared that they might fall just short and not get a good lottery pick. The west suddenly got a bit more competitive with the Lakers and Clippers staying in the mix for playoff spots which means its going to be a lot harder for us to make it. With Yao back just after All Star Break, the Rockets could make a big push, but I'd doubt it would be enough unless we go on an insane run.
The Rockets have been playing above expectations in their last 3 road games. It's just too bad they run out of luck against the Pistons but still a good game to watch. TMac has his own scoring streak and carried the Rockets to a win. It would not be possible though without the spark and hustle that Baxter and Hayes provided. Both of them have been good on the defensive end especially in the 4th quarter. Baxter got a break this time instead of piling up personal fouls he absorbed 2 or 3 charges while Hayes continues to impress everyone. Bowen(did not play) provides hustling game but these two players gives more without being too much of a liability on the offense.
head says go for lottery pick heart says make a nasty run for the playoffs...heart wins, it's not impossible at all.
Well, we have 42 games to go and 14 wins so far. I'm thinking that for an eighth seed, we'd need 44 wins, so we'll have to go 30-12 the rest of the way. If we do go on track to make that kind of run, games down the stretch will be very vital. That's where the kicker comes in. The Rockets end the season with games at Utah, home against Minnesota and Memphis, on the road against Denver, and a final home game with San Antonio. Can we really win the games needed down the stretch to claim that playoff spot?
When TMac gets going like that just turn out the lights. what was it 16 points in a row, something like that. Thats sick. C.Hayes and Baxter did give good energy and made some real good plays in the fourth, and Lucas always seems to be the fastest guy on the court.
Hey actually i think the houston should go all out and leave nothing on the court and leave nothing out this season even if it has been a horrible season. One because there is no surefire player in this draft and some experts think this draft is one of those really thick drafts that you can get the same player with the 6th pick as you get with the 21st pick so we should go all out. I think the houston rockets are a threat to beat any team when they have everyone healthy and lets hope everyone gets healthy for the playoffs and we can knock off the number one like wut the pitsburg steelers are doing
all I know is if we want to make a run for the post season there are 2 things we have to start doing 1. beating teams we're supposed to beat 2. winning our remaining games against Minnesota
