<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Chris Paul created havoc Saturday night on the Garden floor and inside the Knicks' locker room.

According to a team source, immediately after the Hornets' 109-98 victory, assistant coach Mark Aguirre began berating the Knicks' big men for playing soft. According to the source, Aguirre told them, "You made him look like the best player in the league."

Maurice Taylor took exception to Aguirre's criticism of himself, Eddy Curry, Jerome James, Malik Rose and Channing Frye. Taylor felt that the Knicks guards, who have trouble keeping players in front of them, were just as responsible.

Aguirre, who works with the big men in practice, has never shied from expressing his opinion. In this case, Aguirre could have been delivering a message from team president Isiah Thomas, a childhood friend who brought him to the Knicks.

Larry Brown has been critical of the team's perimeter defense all season. Paul finished with 27 points and 13 assists. The rookie point guard was fouled hard on at least two occasions and attempted 17 free throws.

When asked if the coaches were upset, Curry said: "They're mad just like we are. . . . We're all frustrated right now. The key right now is not to get mad at each other."</div>
