Ok get this the game right after Kobe drops 81 points on the raptors, Carmelo drops 81% fg shooting on the raps for 37 points! probably giving Carmelo the best game of his career. Every major player in the league is probably going to mark down the date they get to play the raps.

George Karl actually believes that performance was better than kobe's:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">In George Karl’s eyes, Carmelo Anthony’s 37-point performance against Toronto was every bit as impressive as the 81 points Kobe Bryant poured on the Raptors a night earlier.

Maybe a smidgen more amazing, in fact.

Karl’s a big believer that shooting percentage is a better barometer for players than point totals, and Anthony shot a career-best 81.25 percent in leading the Denver Nuggets to their sixth straight win, 107-101 Monday night.</div>

This is a stupid thread (I'm not going to lock because it still remains your opinion). I do admit that the Kobe situation should have been handled differently by the coaching staff, but when someone starts going nuts like that, it didn't matter if it were the Raptors or the Comets, it was bound to happen, just ask Avery Johnson.

As for Carmelo, did you watch the game? He was taking tough shots for most of the night, and he was nailing them. Nothing could have been done. That's the scouting report on Melo: give him contested long range shots and eliminate his interior offence, and that's what the Raps did for most of the night.

Oh and someone tell George Karl to drop the pipe. It ain't even close.
