sorry cant put a paragprah cause im bout to leave but nba.com reports it http://www.nba.com/news/256696.html
Its the much rumored Peja for Artest swap. I wonder if theres any other details, like cash, players or picks involved. I dont think Artest makes nearly as much as Peja does.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Pacers have agreed to trade Ron Artest to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Peja Stojakovic pending league approval, ESPN's Jim Gray has confirmed Tuesday. The deal closes a chapter in the Pacers' latest drama involving the volatile star forward. Kings owners Gavin and Joe Maloof on ESPNEWS would not comment directly on ESPN's report that the Kings pending league approval will trade Peja Stojakovic to the Pacers for Ron Artest. </div> Source
Before the comments start pouring in about the impact each player will have on his respective team, I have to ask why this took so long? Everyone saw this coming a mile away... last season. Bird loves Peja, and the Kings have been looking to ship him off. It's a perfect trade. So what was the roadblock all this time?

The Pacers have Stephen Jackson on the perimeter, Jermaine O'neal on the inside. Peja gives them another perimeter man. Artest brings his hard-nosed defense to the Kings. So Bibby, Miller, and Artest is also a nice trio, but I'd take the Pacers trio. I think it'll help the Pacers out more. Also, will Artest be able to clear his head?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting The Soft Parade:</div><div class="quote_post">Just saw it on Sportscenter. Indiana is rejecting the deal now, Artest doesn`t want to go.</div> Indiana is not rejecting.........Sac town is rejecting.
If you are Sacramento DO THIS TRADE! Ron Artest>Peja Stojakovic. You know why Larry Bird likes Stojakovic, because, just like Bird, Stojakovic can shoot the ball, but absolutely SUCKS on defense. Sacramento gets a TENACIOUS defender in this trade who can put some points on the board. I would have liked to see Ron Artest team up with Kobe, Odom, and Phil in LA though, but oh well.

He surely wasn't an All Defensive Teamer, but he was still good on that end of the floor. Peja on the other hand is worse on defense than my left testicle.
