<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">VINCE CARTER HAD NO TRADE VALUE. he was often injured, didnt want to play for toronto, WASNT playing for toronto, putting up horrible numbers, sitting out 4th quarters, arguing with his coach, practicing wearing an IPOD and worse of all, he didnt care.</div> Mitchell and Babcock didn't have the greatest relationship in terms of what they were trying to accomplish. Everyone that's watched Vince knows many times he's had games where he would play bad then turn it up in the 4th. Vince did not sit out the 4th, Mitchell benched him in the 4th, their's a difference. Your star players value can't go up if you only play them 30 MPG. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">2 first rounders for that aint bad. E. Will didnt work out, and thats to bad, he's worked out in other situations and he was EXACTLY the type Toronto needed on the team, same with A.Will who was more of a salary throw in. Alonzo.....tough break, blame Zo or blame babcock, either way Babcock wasnt getting any better offers, and VC needed to go. </div> While Zo was dumb, Babcock knew he wouldn't play for us and still included him, so he was clearly also at fault in the situation. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">He drafted Hoffa..didnt work out. was it to hight for him? we know now that it was. But he was a solid prospect, and he was the type of player that we needed. Vince wanted to win now, Hoffa was as good as that draft could offer. </div> I doubt the Hoffa pick had to do with Vince wanting to win, trading the pick for an older player would be trying to get a more vetaran team, and older rookie is still a rookie. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">He drafted CV and got made fun of, but look how that turned out. He got Graham at 16 when lots wanted him taken at 7. Then he turned around and got Ukic, a mid 1st round player deep in the 2nd round. 3 1st round picks in a draft where he only had 2 first rounders.</div>Can't fault him for that, he had a good draft. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Marshall..sure he didnt get traded, and of course Babcock would of done it straight up for a pick. But thats not possible unless you have an exception. The only trade he could make involved taking on a bad contract. And dont forget the raps were still in the playoff hunt, though just barely.</div> That's just giving excuses, how do you know that was the only trade he could make? Also we really were not in the playoff hunt, let's be serious here, Babcock even said that himself last season. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">And now with the ever revolving door at the Raps Bosh is gunna want out, into a more stable environment. Great move everyone, and i mean EVERYONE. the idiots that bagged on him all this time, the fools that fired him, and the morons that still believe they could of done better.</div> That's what happens when Peddie is in control...
