A day after trading Ron Artest, the Pacers found out they will be without Jermaine O'neal for the next 8 weeks link .

The Pacers are currently on a 4 game losing streak and losers of 7 out of their last 10. They've gone from the 4th seed in the East, to the 7th seed in the current playoff race, and are tied for 4th in their division with Milwaukee. With this injury the window of opportunity in the East just opened up for some teams on the bubble ...

    Washington
    Chicago
    Orlando
    Boston

These teams are 5 games or less behind the Pacers.

Which one of these teams will take advantage of this 8 week period?

I don't think Washington will keep that 8th playoff seed. I think Orlando will have a marvelous 2nd Half of the Season and get a low seed and I think Chicago might possibly get on a roll. I don't see Boston making the playoffs at all.
