I think the Wolves should trade Garnett, not for his benefit but for both the team and Kevin's benefit. They are only going downhill.. I think they should start thinking of rebuilding this franchise and take it into a new direction.

Send him to the Mavs.. He has just wasted the last season and a half of his career.

KG wants to get aring. He needs a sidekick or go be someones dynamic duo like a Kobe and Shaq. If Garnett goes to LA e surely would win achampionship.

Give it some time. They just got Ricky Davis and they look like they are starting to turn things around. Plus rookie Rashad McCants had a career high 18 points last night so it looks like he is coming around as well. Give it until the end of this season, and if the team doesn't show some promise then send him off for some young guns.

No keep KG and spend the money on a good COACH. This Dwayne Casey is not the guy, he seems like a player's coach. Neither was Flip, another player's coach. Flip just happens to be blessed with a disciplined and motivated professional team right now. Put Flip with a bunch of slackers and that team will not succeed. Twolvees need someone who will come in and not take any crap from day one. Avery Johnson. Phil Jackson. Look at what Avery Johnson is doing with Dallas - he could be doing the very same thing with Minnesota. KG has put in the time and the loyalty - they should NEVER trade him. If Minnesota trades KG and they win a championship without him, it will be bittersweet. If they finally do win one with him- that's beautiful right there. KG plus a good system and a good coach can equal a title - forget about adding as many all-stars as you can - Miami tried that this year and the Lakers tried that in Shaq's final year and both of those experiments ain't workin.

Let McHale go is the better solution for the TWolves. He might actually be a worse GM than Isiah Thomas. There's the infamous Joe Smith tampering, that cost the TWolves draft picks and probably is one of the main reasons KG doesn't have a ring. McHale has also overpaid several free agents, most who don't compliment KG at all. Then the players who actually did play well alongside KG, (Sam Cassell & Spree) aren't resigned.

The actual draft picks the TWolves did have, have done nothing. Ndubi Ebi who's not even in the NBA anymore, he never even had a chance to play in Minny.

Then they draft Rashad McCants an undersized SG, when you already have Troy Hudson on the roster. Danny Granger sure would have looked great playing alongside KG.

And then of course he fires their most successful coach of all time Flip Saunders.

    Lurch must go.

KG doesnt play with selfish dirt bags like Kobe. Kobe has to be the star, otherwise he'll go crying and break up a championship calibur team. Kobe is the worst human being in the NBA. KG would never play with him.

Kobe and KG have a great relationship. KG is getting older and wants to pursue a championship. He's obviously pissed off that they let Sam Cassell go. KG doesn't want to rebuild and they obviously just did by trading Wally.

KG and Kobe train together. That duo would be unstopable. Both motivated players who are serious about winning above else.

I love how LAker fans all want Minnesosta to let KG go because their team is mediocre and are wasting his career. How about Kobe? Los Anglese is a mediocre team right now. Does that mean they should let Kobe go? I think not.
I would like to see KG remain a Wolve forever. McHale is the real problem as Shape said, but hes definetly not worse than Isiah Thomas.

    Shaq is that you?

Hate to break it to you, but KG & Kobe are very close friends and they would both be willing to sacrifice personal accolades for wins.

You are right Diesel, it's close to impossible for the Lakers to acquire KG unless he comes out and demands to be traded to the Lakers. However, keep in mind KG does have an early termination option in his current deal. No one knows what year it is, but don't be surprised if it's for 2007.

If you think Washington would let Gil walk, you're nuts. He's their franchise. Arenas wants to be in Washington, and Washington wants Arenas.

I still have hope after this recent trade. For the first time in his career, they get KG some frontcourt help, and I see it making all the difference in the world. They've needed some hungry forwards that can score, and Ricky Davis and Blount aren't too bad. I dont see Kg ever leaving, unless the team was tp start winning only 20 games in the next couple seasons, and I think the Wolves are actually on track again anyways.

And yeah, people always talk about KG leaving, but never their own players leaving. Dont count on it. McHale needs to go badly, but he may have just managed to keep his job alive again after this last trade.

HAHA. Yeah like Shaq is the only one who recognizes the fact that Kobe is a selfish cancer. Shaq, Malone, Payton, Phil Jackson, etc. Lets face it, his selfishness and cancerous attitute brought an entire team from greatness to mediocricy. KG and Kobe might be friends, but KG is a class act. His troubles are because of his teams poor management. Kobe could have had a couple more rings. He gave that all up to be the star in L.A. Now thats what I call selfish. KG on the other hand makes his team mates better. If you paired him up with Shaq in his prime and a good coach like Phil J, he would have more rings than Kobe. Sure if i was picking the best one on one player in the game I'd pick Kobe. Too bad the NBA requires players to play with a team to be successful.

    No it's only Shaq actually.

Karl Malone supported Kobe Bryant in LA because he respected Kobe's offseason training and ability to play through pain.

Gary Payton is friends with both Shaq & Kobe, he was traded by the Lakers so he had no choice, but to leave. As a free agent his first choice was Miami because he wants to win a ring, prefers warm weather (rules out Detroit), the beach (rules out San Antonio) and felt he was capable of being the starter there. Obviously the Heat are much closer to winning a title than the Lakers or Warriors, which would have been his ideal place if the situation was right.

Phil Jackson came back to coach Kobe Bryant despite offers from several other teams. He's also admitted it's partly his fault for the rift, because he should have did more to intervene.

You have some mis-information, through no fault of your own about Shaq being traded by the Lakers. The media has villainized Kobe Bryant the entire time during this ordeal, but now the light is being shed on Shaq. Heat fans are already sick of his act in Miami, and are worried about the $100Million still owed to him. If you want to talk about selfish, see if this sounds selfish and immature ...

    1) Calling the owner, Jerry Buss, a mother f-er for not giving Shaq his extension at the bounty price of $33.3Million per season.

    2) Not working out in the off-season and ballooning in the weight department.

    3) Deciding to have surgery "on company time" since he was injured "on company time."
