I saw a thread in the rumors section that Kandi could be traded within 72 hours. How much does he make and who could we trade for him? Would we want him? I think he is better than any center we currently have on the team. Who would the Wolves want for him? I think we need a real big man and Kandi could fill in better than anyone we have on the team right now. I also think the article mentioned he is in the last year of his contract...
Wally To Boston For Ricky Davis In 7-Player Deal 26th January, 2006 - 9:54 pm Boston Herald - The Celtics have reached agreement tonight on a trade that sends Ricky Davis, Mark Blount, Marcus Banks, Justin Reed and two future second-round draft picks to Minnesota for Wally Szczerbiak, Michael Olowokandi and rookie Dwayne Jones and a conditional first-round pick. The deal constitutes a dramatic change for the Celts, who have struggled to a 17-25 record. Davis had been leading the team in minutes played (fourth in the league at 41.6) and was the team’s second leading scorer at 19.7 behind Paul Pierce. Szczerbiak is the key pickup for the Celts. He’s averaging 20.1 points and is a 41 percent shooter from behind the 3-point line. [READ] http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives..._7_player_deal/ Olawakandi goes to the Celtics I guess...hehe
Well, the report was correct that Kandi was moving, but it wasn't to the W's. I'm glad, I didn't think we needed Kandi; I think he's worse than Foyle (the player he was most compared to coming out of the draft). The bad news is there aren't a lot of guys better than Foyle that are available out there. Milwaukee has a lot of bigs, but I don't think they're willing to give up Gadzuric, even if they already have Bogut and Ervin Johnson alongside Magloire. Reggie Evans might fit, but we'd probably have to give up Carbarkapa, unless Seattle will take Cheaney. I kind of wonder what ever happened to (TM?) Keon Clark. I know he underwent surgery after 2003, and he was signed to a 10-day contract for Cleveland last year around Feb. 2005, but he hasn't played in a game since. He's had some bouts of craziness, too. And in other totally unrelated news, it looks like Minnesota also traded Skita to Phoenix.
