<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">According to a source who got it straight from a Minnesota player, the Celtics' Hall of Famer and T'wolves VP of basketball operations Kevin McHale barged into rookie coach Dwane Casey's locker room and barbecued the whole bunch for Heimliching a 19-point, late-third-quarter lead on national TV to the 76ers. "McHale was real mad," said the hearing aide. "He jumped on the team for not finishing strong, for not being aggressive and for playing scared. He accused the team of playing not-to-lose instead of playing to win." The wallop of McHale's expletive-deleted tirade was reserved for Kevin Garnett, at least that's the feeling he got. So he responded correspondingly. Already frazzled and frustrated by the ghastly loss and 13-point output on 5-for-15 inaccuracy (his lowest since New Year's night in Miami) and dismal production in the fourth quadrant, the last straw was a scolding. "I ain't [bleeping] playin' scared," Garnett stormed. "I ain't [bleeping] playin' to lose. I ain't [bleeping] puttin' my head down. I'm [bleeping] tryin' as hard as I can every night." ... This time, Garnett reputedly called him out in front of the team, telling him coarsely what course of action he could take right then and there. A T'wolves source denies this happened, or at least didn't hear it himself. He also denies that Garnett subsequently put an exclamation point on his defiance. The soul of his disputed message: "If you don't like how I'm playing, get me the [bleep] out of here, trade my [bleep]."</div>

I wish Garnett could just say to the TW management and the media that he would like to be traded, to the Lakers, and only the Lakers. Please let it happen...

There's no way the Wolves will put Garnett and Kobe on the same team.

Trading KG would be committing suicide.

Slava + Deavean George and Miami's first round pick for KG. It's totally even for both teams.

I was wondering what this had to do with the Lakers. You think there's a chance Garnett could be traded to LA? For who?

Unfortunately for LA they dont have the pieces to entice the Wolves to trade KG to LA instead of numerous other teams that could offer more.

Laker fans have been salivating over KG for years. Any time he's rumored in wanting out of Minny, we like to think the TWolves would actually trade him to the Lakers.

I think this allege incident might have been the catalyst to get the Wally trade done with Boston. McHale's in the hot seat so he had to make something happen and pray it works out.

If the pieces he added don't work out then McHale is gone.

Unless KG takes his trade demands public (which he won't) then I don't see him leaving Minnesota.

Who could the Lakers offer? Odom, Bynum, Draft picks, Mihm?

If KG is on the market, I imagine other teams can put together a much better offer and he likely gets traded to the Eastern Conference.

Our best chance to get KG, probably would have been when we still had Shaq.

Stupid Mitch, he should have traded Snaq for KG! I've heard people saying Jermaine O'Neal and Peja for KG. This would be stupid as that would potentially mean they traded Jermaine and Ron for KG. I don't think that is worth it.

As much as I'd love to see KG in another team, It's hard to believe it will happen. Garnett and Ray Allen are bound to finish their carrers with its respective teams.

Odumb, Bynum and multiple draft choices.
But unfortunately as long as Mitch is our GM it won't happen, he couldn't get Artest or Baron Davis when they were giving them away.

It would be like winning a lottery if we could get any trade for KG.

The Lakers have nobody besides Kobe that comes even close to KG's value. Sorry Laker fans, you can keep coming up with ridiculous trade propositions (Odom, Mihm and George???), but McHale won't trade KG within the conference, let alone to LA.

I don't see why the TWolves would be so terrified of trading in conference. It's not like their going anywhere anytime soon, and no matter who they trade him for, they're not going to get equal value back.

KG in La would be a DREAM!! We'd probably have to offer both Odom and Bynum.

The only way I dont see us having him, is because Minny is in our conference. [IMG]

He'll probably get trade to an eastern team. What about Orlando? Francis was rumoured he wanted out, but not sure now.
