<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Cowboy71)</div><div class='quotemain'>I'd agree with your QB assessment, but other than that, no. I watched the game and kind of felt that this was the Steelers to win until the 4th quarter. A good team finds a way to win, and the Pats did it. Did you see the time of possesion stat at half time? We had the ball for like 3/4 of the half. We kept Parker under 70 yards rushing. It was Dillon, not Parker who had 2 scores. We got pressure on Big Ben in the 2nd half. Brady was on target for a full 60. All this despite, having lost Harrison & Light, having coughed up the ball twice in the redzone & getting called for a BS pass interference call with the game on the line.

Wow thanks for that wonderful insight. [IMG]

So I take it you didn't watch the game either? If you had you'd see a Steeler offense, aside from one big play to Ward on their opening drive get shut down. You would have also seen Brady & Co. methodically move the chains at will on the Steelers D.</div>

Of course Randel El's bonehead flip to Hines Ward would have been at least 3 points, if not 7 points.

I love reading the back and forth on this game, even if we lost. But I think it was the most evenly played game between these two teams in the last 4 games. It could have went either way.

I would say to the Pats fans, enjoy it because with the loss of Lyght and Harrison, it's going to take it's toll. Those guys will be hard to replace. I'll be surprised if San Diego doens't come in and steal one in Foxboro.

I'm sorry but they never had control of this game..we owned the time of possesion the entire game...they had no success on the ground and two plays were more than half of Rothlisbergers yards...We were also shut down on the ground but our passing game allowed us to run the ball 30 times anyways and we controlled the clock all day..the two redzone tunrovers were killers...and our Kick coverage still sucks other than that we took it to them for most of the day.

Like I said, I think it was a pretty even game, and I believe the Steelers created as many opportunities or more. If you ask me, the Steelers were outcoached (again) late in the game. Cowher should have been blitzing and playing tight coverage on the last drive and instead he sat 10 yard off the line and sent 5 guys instead of 7. Just plain dumb.

I hear ya and I'm worried about for sure..but I'm definitely through panicing when injuries are concerned because they have proved me wrong so many times..so I'll take the wait and see..but if we get torched by San Diego..then I'll worry. I thought the run defense held up very well against one the best OL in the league without harrison so that does make me feel a little better.

Our OL looked horrible. I kept spazzing everytime Seymour got through the line. It's like, c'mon double team the freak! He was killing us.

I understand the scoreboard and stats and you are right. As an unbiased viewer who had no preference who won, I just felt like the Steelers had the upper hand. Your quote above was duly noted, and probably a reason I felt like I did. I give NE credit for winning in spite of everything, not because of it. It just didn't seem like it was going to be NE's day for much of the game.

Ya Seymore definitely had a day out there...him and McGinest had some big sacks and pressures in the back field.

Yeah Big Willie's block of Big Ben was also HUGE, holding them to a FG.

Call me crazy but I thought the Steelers had been blitzing several times on our winning drive?

Probably looked similar to how I was like both times when the Pats lost the ball just as they were threatening to add points.

If I remember correctly that's what most people said last year about Ty Law... and in the end they won the superbowl, The pats just over come things like that. I wouldn't count them out yet.

Who said the patriots didnt dominate? Like your comment about the patriots knowing they will win was so insightful [IMG] Talk about extrapolate my comment and turning into an anti-patriot comment

This coming from the man who said in reference to the Bengals; "bears were clearly better at every position except QB" You have NO credibility after a statement like that.

I corrected taht statement to include bengals WR. I stand by it.

Of course, this coming from a man who thinks his team wins cuz they "know they are going to win" not cuz they work hard, and execute on game day

See thats a legit reason, not "Cuz steelers thought they would win, but patriots knew they would win"

That's what I said b4. If u had read the entire post, you would know that. Here it is again in case you missed it:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (bakes781)</div><div class='quotemain'>If you watched the 1st half, even though the Pats were down you KNEW they would win in the end. Why? They dominated time of possesion. The Pats wore down the Steeler D. The OL made great strides this week in giving Dillon lanes to run in. In the 2nd half b/c of the missed opportunities(credit the Steelers) in the 1st the Pats were forced to play catchup. Once again the OL(including 2 rookies) stepped up big & gave Tom the time he needed to dissect the Steeler secondary.</div>
