I'm watching Post Game Live right now after the Sixers - Knicks right now. Sonny Hill made such a good point when they were talking about team efforts. It was something along the lines of "I talked to Allen Iverson, and he told me I give them the ball but they give it back to me. So it's more of a team effort, they can't keep giving AI the burden of having to do everything. It's not like he wants to take every shot."

OMG dude THANK YOU ive been saying this for a long time

Ive seen it so many times where Allen trys to get Iggy to do something offensively and he just hands it back to him without even trying

I personally think people need to stop seeing it as Iverson takes away from everyones shots but more of a everyone has an opportunity to take away from Allens shots if they choose to do so and I honestly think Allen would be happier if they actually tried to do more on the offensive end like you said less of a burden on him

Exactly, other people need to step up. Like Hill said, Salmons is a multi-talented player, he can post up with his height advantage to his guards like he did to Marbury tonight. He just doesn't step it up every single night. Also Iggy, he should take 2 or 3 more shots every night to develop that short-mid range jumper around the free throw line.

Allen, this is what you need to do to get them to do it offensively:

Bring the ball up court. Pass it to somebody, and then just SIT DOWN either on the court or the bench for the possession. [IMG]

No, but seriously... he just needs to come out one game, and not look to score at all in the first quarter. Just set people up. I know he did that in the NJ game, but he needs to do what Jordan used to do. Get everybody involved early, and then take over late in the game.

The only problem with that is that he probably will be cold. I can't count how many times he's gone for 15+ points in the first quarter, only for Mo to put him on the bench for a couple of minutes, and then when he comes back in he's ice cold. [IMG]

Lol. I see what your saying about the ice cold part. He had a game just like that against Orlando a couple days ago. But anyways for the most part that's what he does.

In the start of the game he comes out firing and while on some occassiosn he does that in the 2nd quarter(and goes ice cold) 4 times out of 10 he becomes more passive. A little too passive at times because when the team goes through offensive droughts he still looks to pass the ball. I think that's when he is suppose to take over. When the team got a groove he should look to rack up assists because they will not be in that groove forever and hey is only 3rd All-Time in PPG so you know he can it going whnever he pleases. AI realizes that but not very clearly, I think this falls on the coaches shoulder to make AI and the guys more aware of it. If Larry Brown never left I'm sure at this point AI would have understood that.
