I saw this on ESPN.com, and I wanted to see what you guys think. Beyond all the talk about the Pistons winning, Kobe`s recent scoring, and all other big topics of the NBA, do you think the Mavs, who are bouncing around the first place spot with the Spurs at 34-10, are not getting the attention they deserve. I think the same thing can be said for the Spurs too. All the talk of the Pistons making history, Kobe`s insane scoring, etc. nothing against them, blocks out the other attention teams/players. But back to the question, does Dallas deserve more attention?
Yes. Considering what they have lost and yet how much they've improved, in no small part due to Avery Johnson, they deserve alot more attention. But I suppose when you look back over the past few years in the Cuban era, they make be making up for all the undeserved attention they used to get (ie, Dairy Queen, Finley snubbed, Cuban's fines, etc.) But let's face it, they're not as entertaining to watch as the big three days. IMO - Detroit deserves all the attention they are getting though. Time will tell if Kobe does. Currently, I'm not convinced. j
How can you not be convinced by Kobe? Both his stats and his game show it. Back to the topic now, yes, they are being slept on. They're a great team and they probably have chances of winning the championship just like any of these top teams. And Dirk is truly a great player.
The mavs are just as good as the pistons with their new lineup. I think with Diop and Griffin they have now found the defense consistency to win it all.
