Although Dooling hasn't played much this year due to injuries and a fight, he has been very productive when he's on the court. He is a great defender, is extremely quick and he can drive to the basket and beat his defender for an easy layup. We have three talented point guards right now and it isn't helping us when two of them are sitting on the bench. If I were the Magic right now, I would try to trade for Francis for a PF or a SG and try to hand over the reigns to either Jameer or Keyon. Our team may lose a couple of games early on but this move would point us in the right path for the future. What do you guys think?
I don't think we should trade Francis he is finally fitting into our offense plus his value is too low right now. I think deshawn is playing great right now and seems to be pretty durable. I think we should draft a pf such as tyrus thomas, Sheldon Williams or taigo splitter to back up dwight next year and eventually move dwight to center (other teams play there center on him anyways)
I definetely agree with TheHighness. You can't trade Francis now because his value is way too low and he is playing good. The injury problems that Dooling has dealt with(and Jameer now too) are the reason that I don't do this deal. If we trade Francis, then we start Jameer, have Dooling off of the bench. If one of them goes down again Diener would be the backup. I don't trust him as the backup yet.
You don't want KEyon Dooling being the start point guard. I watched the Heat last year when they had him and he over dribbled a lot. I don't know if he still does that, because I only seen 2 of their games against the Sixers this year, but if he does you want Jameer handling the offense. Dooling is a great player to have off the bench though.
dooling is great off the bench because hes soo quick... with the other team fatigued he can single handedly take over a game... he is probably the fastest person down the court and back besides shawn marion
