1. Titans RB Travis Henry suspended 4 games for substance abuse. 2. Eagles kicker David Akers is a "hero." 3. Belichick refuses help from Steelers trainers and Harrison might be out for the whole season. 4. Culpepper is bouncing back in week 3. 5. Eli has better stats so far than Peyton. 6. Tomlinson is the fantasy leader for week 3. 7. Cadillac isn't showing signs of slowing down with high gas prices. 8. Bears blaming Rookie QB Kyle Orton for loss to Bengals. 9. Countdown to Favre's retirement counts down to 13 more weeks. 10. I am going to lose 5 bucks because Danver is in the lead.
Add to this: 1. T. Spikes out for the season. 2. Jets forced to fall back on their 3rd string QB, 4 weeks into the season.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (MKIV_Supra)</div><div class='quotemain'>9. Countdown to Favre's retirement counts down to 13 more weeks.</div> I can hardly wait.
This week i think made and broke alot of teams, i think the bills will suffer greatly with the lost of spikes, everyone is saying the pats will be fine, but i think this time Bill wont be able to use his smarts to win a SB, Jets are done, we saw vick actually throw, Favre is def. gonna retire, he has too, and the steelers have blown away any doubt i had in them even when they lost.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (MKIV_Supra)</div><div class='quotemain'>Ha ha ha... Just wait after week 4. We will be 1-2!</div> that is true. If you guys lose to Jets, there is no hope
yeah I am feeling the most for the jets. whatever about having to go to a back up but a third string? and they were not that good anyway!
me neither, he loves the game to much, and if they can finally have a good draft and get some decent free-agents they will have a good shot at going deep into the playoffs... and if Favre thinks they have a shot theres no way he will retire!
As a Packer fan I like to THINK that Brett would stay but listening to the press conferences and looking at him on the sidelines it don't look like he'll come back and play another season. Unless we get going and make the playoffs with this young team, then maybe he'll stay one more year. Right now though I wouldn't put my money on him staying. Why NFL fans are looking forward to him retiring is what baffles me. Granted if I was a Bear,Lion, or Viking fan then I guess I could understand but a Falcon or Bengal fan, is what confuses me. I mean Favre is one of the most exciting players ever to play the game. What makes him a legend is not his stats or even the Super Bowl. It's the fact that he's a QB that plays the game like a lineman. When John Elway retired I was sad to see him go. Hell when Barry Sanders retired I was devasted. Just the past month when Jerry Rice retired I even went back and looked at my old football card collection of him. So looking forward to a legend to retire like Favre,Sanders,Rice,Elway,or anyone else that makes the game special does not seem right to me. I mean we all know the most common response when he retires is gonna be. ABOUT TIME!! To me that person is selfish and doesn't understand the game of football. Sorry but thats the way I feel!

One of the few that plays football just because of the love of the game, thats what I like about him. He is a very exciting player, whether he makes an amazing throw or a ridiculus throw, Im always holding my breath between each one... Football will never be the same for me when he retires and I hope more than anything he stays another year. And to the ppl that say "about time he retires" are idiots, he continues to play for the fans and because he truly cares about football, not like others who continue to play for money. Also Favre still has a few good years left, he put up some good years last year and led them to a third straight division title. If he plays another few years i will be thrilled but if he retires he will go down in hisrtory as one of the greatest QBs.
Well, personally I only make these comments about Favre to get a rise out of the Packers fans. It never fails, works everytime. :cheesey:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (MKIV_Supra)</div><div class='quotemain'>For the Falcons, I heard they have signed a new WR. Pathon I think.</div> Yes, they signed Pathon. He's sitting at 3rd string behind Jenkins and Bryant right now. I don't know much about him, wasn't he injured not too long ago or something? Anyone know anything about him?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (panthersare#1)</div><div class='quotemain'>how does Roddy White look like</div> I don't think Roddy White is 100% yet from his injury. He hasn't caught a pass just yet, so right now I can't make a judgement on him. Hopefully he'll get a chance to show what he's got in the near future. I really like the Jenkins/Finneran/Crumpler set up we had in Buffalo. I hope Dez sits out again this week.
one thing i have to say about the Jets, dont count em out yet... when they lose a few more then count em out. BUT they still have one of the best defenses in the league and that will always keep them in teh game. Also despite Pennington being out that could also be looked at as a good thing. The plays on offense were obviously limited with him in there, he couldnt throw the ball freakin more than 20 yards without feeling pain. Losing Feidler was a big hit but Brooks Bollinger isnt that bad, maybe he'll surprise people against the Ravens. I'm not saying they are a better team now but its not as bad as people think. And if they could get the running game going, that would be a huge boost for the offense.
