<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Grizzlies coach Mike Fratello shook up the roster in an attempt to help steer the team out of its losing ways.

He changed point guards, moving Bobby Jackson back to the bench and elevating the recently acquired Chucky Atkins to the starting spot.

Entering Monday's action, the Griz had lost seven of their past nine games. Jackson started 15 consecutive games after Damon Stoudamire's season ended Jan. 30 with a torn patellar tendon in his knee.

"I'm not happy about it," Jackson said before the Griz played the Houston Rockets in FedExForum. "I don't know why it comes (down) to me not starting. If you look at our rebounding and free throw shooting, it's been killing us. But like I told coach 'I don't like it, but I'll do what you want me to do.' It's a situation where we've lost seven out of nine games and we're trying to find a way to fix it. Hopefully, this is the right way to fix it. Our rebounding and our free throws are the issues we've really got to attack."

Fratello told Jackson that he preferred to use his energy and point production off the bench. The switch is designed to relieve Jackson of running offensive sets and allow him to run off screens and shoot more.

"Whatever he wants me to do, I'll do it," Jackson said, adding that his competitive spirit is why he is bothered by the demotion. "Am I going to be happy about it? No. But I'm going to do my job. He came to me and told me what he was thinking and I just said whatever this team needs me to do, I'm going to do it." </div>

Amazing, especially after I just saw the overwhelming positive impact the Grizzlies have when BJax is in the starting lineup. 82games.com has a breakdown of 5 man units. The Grizzlies are a +55 with BJax as the starter. Here's what they said ...

Sometimes the "maybe it's for the best" expression turns out to be true. Losing Damon Stoudamire has ended up working out well since now Bobby Jackson has cracked the starting lineup and been very solid.

I'm shocked, although i probably shouldn't be given the entire aim all along was to have B-Jax being the spark off the bench.

Will wait and see how it goes, but the idea of Chucky Atkins starting and playing 30 minutes a night worries me.
