<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">NEW YORK - Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith could become the third player to win consecutive NBA slam dunk contests when he participates in the event during All-Star weekend.

Michael Jordan won back-to-back competitions in 1987-88 and Jason Richardson did it in 2002-03.

Joining Smith in contest this year will be Andre Iguodala of the Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks 5-foot-9 guard Nate Robinson and Hakim Warrick of the Memphis Grizzlies.

YES!!! I was convinced that if Iguodala wasn't in the dunk contest that would only mean he wouldn't want to be in it. I'm excited because after Josh Smith I would have to put Iguodala as the favorite to win it! You guys don't even know how excited I am right now for Iguodala and the whole 76ers team in general.

I agree 100% man... if they didn't invite him this year, they would be crazy!

It should be a good show-down between Iggy and Josh Smith.

This could do wonders for Iggy's career... but we'll see. [IMG]

    Go Iggy!

I'm not really sure who will win it. I doubt Hakim Warrick will, but out of the other 3 it will be good. Nate will obviously get free points because of his height. I think J. Smith will win it again, but I won't be surprised if soemone else takes the title from him.

    The Prophecy Will Happen

the AI2 - TMac comparison shall now be refered to as the prophecy

Finally some real athletes showing off their incredible hops!!! Good to see Iggy in the contest and I am sure he will do extremely well. Josh Smith must obviously be the favourite, but lets hope Iggy pulls out some creative dunks and does the sixers team proud!!!!

Wtf just because they are both good dunkers doesn't mean they play alike. Iggy is a much better defender while T-Mac is a much more explosive scorer.

Yeahh I cant wait to see what Iggy does. AI will be there, hes an allstar, Korver should be there at the 3 point contest, and Webber might be there as an all star. With those 3 cheering him on and getting the crowd into it I think Iggy will win it.

Moses Malone will be a judge so Dre already has an advantage.
