It just came to me............the 2005 Bengals are identical to the 2002 Saints.

The Saints finished 9-7 in 2002, missing the playoffs by half a game. I'm not saying that's how the Bengals will finish, but the start is just the same.

The Saints started 3-0 and didn't start going downhill until they were 7-2. The hype was the same as it is for the Bengals now. Talking about Palmer liked they talked about Brooks, before the incosistancy began. The same with Rudi and CJ, just like Deuce and Joe, although CJ will have a much better year.

    Ah, the memories.

DAMN YOU DANTE' AND YOUR FUMBLING QB DRAW.

    PAYBACK!!!!

They remind me of Chiefs from a couple years ago who went 13-3 but finished 1-3. They wont keep getting +6 TO and then games will get closer, and D will be exposed.

The one no one is talking about are the 99 Rams in which the defense led the league in takeaways and the offense scored almost at will. [IMG]

Dont remind me of that team. That team came out of nowhere.

I agree with pork. Not saying the Bengals don't have a D, but we have yet to see them face adversity. Until then they're simply a nice story.

I have got to agree here. Plus, the team hasn't played any real competition yet. They played Cleveland who is perrenially a bad team. They played the Vikings when Culpepper had the worst game of his career (and he has had some bad games in the past). Then they played Chicago and a rookie QB who finally looked shaken.

Let's wait until they play against a team that might actually be a contender.

It's not there fault what the schedule said at the beginning of the season. They contend majority of last 2 seasons in ending 8-8 in both campaigns and I consider them contenders now.

I'm genuinely tentative about playing the Bengals. They may not be quite as good as they've played, but I think they're pretty good. The defense might be a bit overrated at this point, but I think they're above average. As for the offense, they will continue to dominate. Chicago has a great defense and could barely slow them down. Like I said, they'll be tough. Pitt or Cincy will win the North.

i believe the cincy hype. The defense is finally fixed, and that offense is one of the best right now. Im so happy that i pick Carson Palmer with my fantasy league.

Those bags would prove useless because of the eyeholes. [IMG]

I have to believe the hype, this is the most the city of cincinnati has been behind the bengals. tho i hate bandwagon fans, i love that my team is finally getting support, and the best part is the whole city knows its all marvin lewis, i love it. I will judge this team on how they play Pitt and no one else, b/c we saw sunday, they are seriously in the run for the SB, Ben has blown away any doubt i had in him, so i cant wait for 10/23... yes, i have that date marked down in every agenda i own.

iv'e been watching and rooting for the Bengals for the past 4 years now thanks to my Father influencing them on me. I will root for them all year until that one game they play against the Packers(should be a helluva game though!), So far they're 2-0 against the NFC North can they dominate the Lions? I sure hope so!
