A foot injury to their second-leading scorer Corey Maggette, who played his rookie season with the Magic, contributed to their slowdown, and it's not certain whether he'll be back for this game. Led by Elton Brand, who is averaging 24 points and 10 rebounds, the Clippers are playing with confidence and should stay on track to make the playoffs, which they have not participated in since 1997.</div> http://www.nba.com/magic/news/game_preview.html This should be a good game. We lost to the Clippers earlier this season and the best matchup was Dwight Howard vs. Elton Brand. It was also fun watching Steve Francis square off with his best friend, Cuttino Mobley. I think the Magic will be able to win this game, 97-95. Post all game discussion in this thread.
This should be a good one. If Francis can play the way he has been we should have a good shot at winning it.
This was a tough loss. We had the game within reach late in the third quarter and then the Clippers just pulled away. They are a great team and Elton Brand just flat out demolished our guys. Hopefully Brian Hill can rally his troops and get them ready to play the woeful Hawks tomorrow. If don't beat Atlanta, I think I might just throw a heavy object at my television screen.
cassel and brand dominated us they both were on fire even if we played good D they still made difficult shots. This was a tough loss, we are falling further out of the playoff race. Hopefully we can get another win streak going.
