Just an idea from my head, dont go off on me that it would never happen: Would anybody trade AI to Toronto for 2006 and 2007 #1 picks and Charlie Villaneuva? Right now the Raptors have the 3rd pick, we could get a SF like Morrison or Gay. This is purely me making up an idea just to see if people would go along with it. We get a young PF from the trade and 2 picks, Ollie mans the point and Salmons can play point too, plus Louis Williams would get more time. I love AI, but if the rumors are somewhat true I believe they are at least open to the possibility of trading him.
I agree. If AI is traded, I'm sure the organization would ask him where he would like to go, and try to get him traded there perhaps by involving more than one team. That way he gets his wish, and the organization can get what they feel is "compensation" for AI.

Toronto cares about putting people in the seats, and thats what AI does. AI puts alot more people in the seats than Toronto's GM taking Rafeal Arajo with their picks.
I can see AI get traded but does Ai want to play for Toronto. AI should be looking for rings. He should go to a strong Western team. I don't know if the contenders have room for him. I see him going to a team with a strong backcourt like the Lakers or Minnesota.
I just picked a team out of nowhere, theres no truth behind anything and the odds of AI going to a team like Toronto are astronomical, and AI would NEVER work with Kobe. That would be the worst tandem in the history of the NBA.

The only problem with it is that the NBA has a rule that a team can't trade back-to-back first round picks. I would love to grab LaMarcus Aldridge or even a guy like Mardy Collins or Daniel Gibson then in 2007 it opens up the possibility of Greg Oden coming here. I like your thinking, but will it happen? Probably never.
The only deal I can see the Sixers going for with Toronto is for Mike James or Eric Williams. I don't know much about the Sixers, but would a player like Mike James who brings scoring to the table help you out more than Eric Williams' defense? The few games I've watched with the Sixers they always talk about having another scoring option with A.I., A.I 2, and C-Webb. I think what Mike James gives you is more consistent than Kyle Korver at least, and having Mike James may even get him more looks.
I think our offense is fine, and defense/hustle is the area(s) where we need to improve. Mike James is also a free agent at the end of the season, I believe, so I don't think we'd take a chance at acquiring a guy for only half the season.
We need Mike James, Eric Williams, Reggie Evans and Joe Smith. If by God's grace we ended up with those guys I would be thrilled.
is there any way that we can make any type of signifecant trade? It doesn't really seem like we have that much to give up besides those picks, or maybe korver or salmons...

AI, AI2, c-webb, and sammy are pretty much untradeable because of their talent or contracts, and everyone else on the roster no one really cares for. you could make an arguement and say that iverson is tradeable, but come on. do you really think BK will trade him away? as for the draft picks? no more trading them away unless its a 2nd rounder. we already have no 1st pick next off-season, and i would hate for us to trade away another and miss out on some great talents, like we did this year, where we couldve gotton danny granger, fransico garcia, luther head and ect. all im trying to say is that i dont think the sixers will make any signifigant deals because they just dont have the players to do that.
The Tim Thomas to the Sixers rumor has been picking up steam recently... but that will only happen if he is bought out by the Bulls before Feb. 23rd.
I think a Tim Thomas pick up may be ok, but if the Steven Hunter trade was meant to pick up Thomas then I don't think it was a very good move. I'm hoping the Sixers can snag Al Harrington. They don't have many pieces to work with as far as trade bait goes. I'd be willing to trade Salmons, Korver, Ollie, and thats pretty much it-the thing is not many teams are probably interested. I think Salmons could be good somewhere else where he could get more minutes. Hasn't he scored in double figures in all of AI's missed games? To me Salmons is the best trade bait the Sixers have.
Salmons is a free agent so not too many teams will want him. Korver has a big contract that will scare teams off. The truth is, we just dont have any trade parts to pull something off. And I def dont want to see anymore picks given away.
