Korver needs to step up if we are going to have any chance. Were down by 8 right now but its not that bad lol.
It is that bad, Dalembert's being dalembert, we're making the wrong plays at the right time (If you know what I mean) and the Charlotte Bobcats look like a contender then us, look at how they're handling Lakers.
What I am saying is, who expected the Charlotte Bobcats to have a 15 pt lead, on the Lakers? They're looking, what we should be looking like right now: Playing an underdog with an attiude like "We don't care, we're gonna play our hardest"
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">You need to slap yourself for even asking that question.</div> Detroit was this good last year there record may not have showed it but they were so dont be a prick and keep that **** to yourself

Okay, Okay I see. Now the 76ers have lost 87-80 to Detroit, and I Have 3 things to say about it: 1. Nice effort, terrible coaching: You had 5 guys in the front court, and C-Dub's, where? Not in the paint I knew this. Typically Mo blew it.....in the 4th time in many games. 2.Allen Iverson please come back soon: We had about 15 turnovers, most of which might I add, were because, we didn't really have a go-to-guy, we really didn't know how to excute, Detroit, knew how to execute down the strech. 3. A For effort, and Commitment: Grand toast to the 76ers I actually watched 47 3/4 minutes of the game (After Tayshaun slam)
Not the blowout I expected, but nonetheless a loss. Sixers did better then I expected them to be, Williams was pretty impressive on the defensive end within the minutes he got.
just wondering, did anyone really actually think we would win this game? i mean, come on, we were without AI. i know BKS thought we could, but you know him, he's crazy. as you can see, im not too upset with the loss since i never thought we would have a chance at all. bash me for my lack of confidence on the team all you want, but come on now. this is the DETRIOT PISTONS we're talking about
sixers new starting lineup (with no iverson): pg-Lewis Williams sg-John Salmons sf-Andre Igoudala Pf-Shavlic Randolph C- Chris webber I think randolph was a steal and he might be a pretty good post player some day. Hes got some moves. Williams is playing like he wants to be out there unlike most of the team. Sammy just makes way too many mistakes.

Come on now that?s ludicrous the 76ers made an investment and they are going to stick with it. I agree completely with you that Sammy makes to many mistakes, but he still gives us a better chance to win than Shavlik Randolph.
Louis Williams may bring energy but he is still wayyy too young and commits too many mistakes to start. Whats wrong with Ollie? Solid defense, solid passer. Salmons is really coming on now that hes starting, although it is hurting Korver beyond words. Iggy and Webber are set in the lineup, and there is no way Mo Cheeks is that stupid to put Dalembert on the bench for Randolph. He's our best rebounder, and only shot blocker in the middle. He makes alot of mistakes, but is getting better working with Moses Malone. Lets remember something, he hasnt been playing basketball his entire life like 90% of the NBA. He just started when he was 16, while others play from childhood. He is still raw but has tons more potential than Shavlik.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Avery:</div><div class="quote_post">Could have been worse. All I'm saying is that if AI was playing, we had this game won.</div> If AI had played the Pistons wouldn't of been dicking around all game just waiting for the game to finish. Never got out of 3rd gear.
Your what? I'm tired of hearing confident Piston fans, this is the same team, that lost in 7 games to the San Antonio Spurs, for whatever reason, Flip Saunders has the magic to dominate the regular season, I'm not scared of Detroit, and neither should the #8 seed, by regard: They're trash, worse then the 04-05 finals team, that we thought lost depth. As a 76ers fan, for whatever reason, I can't help but feel, that Detroit will suffer the same faith like Minnesota did.

It's not like they are unbeatable. I still think if AI was there we would have that game. We been stuck on on that eight point deficit all game long and we just needed a burst in addition Billups was off too. Just one burst would have help, just one, so just imagine if one of the greatest scorers in NBA history was playing. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Your what? I don't agree with you all the way but at the same time they are the same team really(roster wise). "All" they really have is a new found offense and drive to win it all. It doesn't sound like much but it's alot and I don't care what the record says, the Spurs are still the team to beat. In the NBA season the best offense usually gets the NBA's best record. Why? Well it's because there are wayyyy more teams in the NBA that look to outscore one another instead of playing hard nosed defense. So when you're offense is the best and you have so many teams try to beat you at what your best at you are obviously going to win. But once it's playoff time all that will change. The Detorit will go back to their defensive ways because they know that's what wins and of course they will still display their offense but when it comes down to the Spurs it will be the same like last year but the fact that the Spurs upgraded their offense with Finley and Van Exel you are pretty going to get the same results as last year. The offense that Finley, Van Exel and even Parker brings now cancels out the Pistons much improved offense and in essence it will basically be the same Finals like last year but just a little more scoring. It's not a gimmie that the Spurs will win, but I give them the edge against the Pistons. Right now the Spurs are in lala land and got guys like Manu and Duncan with injuries so what you see in the season will be completly different once it's Playoff time.

Fact is the Pistons aren't the same team the differences Mo Evans who has added alot in spells this year Carlos Delfino has stayed heathly and has had some huge games Tayshaun Prince's improvement Billups and Rip both having career years Flip is an offensive coaching god so the talent might almost but the same but the system isn't... It's good that you aren't scared of the Pistons, doesn't change the fact If your team faces the Pistons in the playoffs you will be lucky to win one game. Won't be much of a series. Really If the Pistons are trash what does that make the rest of the league? no one has proved they can hang with the Pistons when they play hard. Spurs will be up there no doubt but in the two meetings this year have gotten crushed. Homecourt will decide the NBA championship. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">You maybe right but at the same time it looked like one of those days where the Pistons were playing because they had to. If you want to make a case that the sixers would of had a BETTER CHANCE TO WIN with Iverson then you are right but to say the Sixers would of won had AI played is abit off..no one knows how the Pistons would of played the sixers had Iverson been on the floor
The same way without Allen Iverson maybe? If/When we play Pistons, We'll soon see the mockery of an NBA champion.
We cannot beat the Pistons when Allen is playing. Sure, he'll get his, but the Pistons shut everybody else down. With Detroit, it's pick your poison.
