Is anyone besides me hoping Wesley gets traded for a younger player with promise. I think it is the step to take, but in three weeks the deadline comes around and I want a trade! In fact, I am demanding a trade!

I would say most teams in the NBA would be atleast interested in Wesley. Why? Expiring contract. Teams that are in that rebuilding mode but don't have room for a big contract, would love to unload a bad contract for Wesley.

The Rockets already have two, fairly young, superstars. Some teams need money to make a splash in the market, and an expiring contract could be just what they need.

On top of that, Wesley isn't so bad for his contract. He's a guarenteed 12-3-3 guy, a pretty good defender, and for some teams, he'd be a great player off the bench.

Unfortunately, the Rockets are stuck with him in our lineup, because we have Mr. Glass (Derek Andersen) injured, and Luther Head has run into the infamous "Rookie Wall." Once Sura comes back (They say in about a month), hopefully we can play him at the 2, because I really think Rafer is playing well and will only improve at running the show with Yao back.

How can we get a young player with a bad contract? "Bad" contracts are signed only after the player's rookie deal is over, meaning the guy would at least be 25, high schoolers excluded. If we're talking expiring contracts, Wesley's isn't too big. He gets paid $5 million, but there are other guys who have expiring contracts like Anfernee Hardaway who has a max deal coming off the books. If anything, Wesley will get traded to a team that is actually interested in his abilities, but not solely looking at how much money they'll save.

I'm against trading Wesley. We'll have to start Head with Moochie Norris as the first guard off the bench, which isn't too good, huh? Whoever we get for Wesley will definitely be of a lower caliber, so we basically step down a bit in terms of backcourt talent. The way things are looking, Derek Anderson should retire.

Yeah..Why you hate Welsely so much? I think he is worth the 5 million pay. If Rockets wanna some guality young players, they should consider to DA or Swift. Welsely is one of the most important player in Rockets now, and his contract is not too much. How about trading Howard? HeHee...

Why do people think Wesley sucks? He struggled at the start of the season, but since then, he's been really valuable for us...he's a good 3-point shooter and a smart, veteran player who knows the ins and outs of the system...I think we already have a nice youth core in tact with Hayes, Swift, Head and Baxter...why dont we just focus on developing them?
