We all know that Iggy is in the dunk contest but what do you guys think he's going to do? I think what avery said in another thread, off the glass windmill would be pretty sweet for an opening dunk. It would also be pretty cool to see Iguodala get A.I. in the act a little bit as well. This might be a bit of a stretch but maybe have Iverson on his knees and CWebb or Dalembert a foot behind Iverson then have Iverson throw it off the glass to Iguodala who would then jump over Iveron and CWebb (or Dalembert) and throw it down ...or a double between the legs might be sweet if he can get up that high
I’m not sure how good Dre’s chances are of winning the contest he was quoted in an interview has saying he is going to think up the dunks as he goes along, and not practice them in practice or anything of that sort. So I can see him boxing a couple of dunks, and that dropping his score. He won’t have that good of a chance at winning compared to a Josh Smith, who thinks of everything ahead of time, unless he starts putting some thought into what he is going to do right now. I would like to see him try the free throw line dunk as a tribute to Dr.J or maybe something as a tribute to a 76ers legend, like Josh Smith did last year when he brought out the old school jersey and did the tribute dunk.
lets be realistic CK. lol. i bet if iggy did that, he would have done one of the best dunks in the history of the dunk contest. let me start off by saying the sole reason im going to watch the dunk contest is to just watch iguodala. if iggy wasnt in, i wouldnt really care much for it. as for his dunk ideas? like BKS said, i highly doubt he is going to pull off something jaw dropping, though he might, but i doubt it since he isnt really going to be practicing much. a tribute to dr. j would be nice, but i think he should do one of those 360 between the leg dunks. that would be sweet.
Don't listen to Dre. No way is he not going to think about the type of dunks he should pull off the night before the Dunk Contest. Impossible. But like I said before I would LOVE to see him do that original looking windmill of his but off the class though. You know either C-Webb or AI is going to get into the act because one dunk requires someone to throw you a lob or do some kind of assistance. I can't wait for it to go down. If he doesn't win, it's fine but because I keep forgetting Josh Smith is in this but as long as he can impress someone like Kenny Smith who is very hard to impress I'll be happy. If he can solidify his spot to return next year I'm good.
Im sure 90% that he's gonna do atleast 1 dunk involving windmill. Dunk that needs another player could be AI lobbing it up from the halfcourt to Iguodala. I wanna see atleast one dunk where he goes through the legs cause I've never seen him do one.

No wait, it's impossible because you have to use a teammate for one of them and that would have to be planned as well. Maybe people say that because it just makes it so much sweeter when they win? They can say, "And I didn't even waste time thinking of my dunks"? Beats me, it would only help to plan your dunks first. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting phiLA:</div><div class="quote_post">lets be realistic CK. lol. i bet if iggy did that, he would have done one of the best dunks in the history of the dunk contest.</div> Yes that's what long hours of playing NBA Live '06 does to you
I think we can expect a strong showing out of Iggy in the dunk contest. I mean, he threw down some ridiculous dunks in celebrity/charity games over the summer, and certainly is capable of winning the contest. I'm sure he'll practice some dunks between now and the contest, but I think we'll be seeing a decrease in the number of "flashy" dunks he does in the game between now and the ASB. He doesn't want to give anything away, now does he...
Iggs is going to have to bring it because you know Josh Smith is planning something. Maybe Dre can go original/copy cat and bring out a throwback Julius Erving 76ers jersey and do I Dr. J type dunk. If he did do that they would be calling him Dr. Dre!
