<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">AP - Antonio Davis is expected to suit up for the Toronto Raptors early next week, returning to a team that traded him three years ago. Davis, acquired Friday in a deal that sent Jalen Rose, a first-round draft pick and cash to the New York Knicks , took a physical Saturday morning. He headed to his New York home to wrap up personal matters. After a visit to his Chicago home, the Raptors said they expect him back Monday or Tuesday. Toronto hosts San Antonio on Wednesday. "He's a professional and he's going to honor his contract," said Raptors coach Sam Mitchell. "He's the president of the players' association, he's going to do the right thing. He understands the business of basketball. We're happy to have him."</div> http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...arly_next_week/
I think Davis will report, seeing as he is the president of players' association..would definitely not want to look bad or else he could lose that position.
Nice sig superman32... i put a spin on it for my avatar... neways It seems like AD will be back.. wearin the old 33 again? hmm... we can start rockin our old jerseys again lol
I think he'll report but come to some mutual agreement with Toronto to where his contract will be bought out or something...
i know this is a long shot but is there anyway we could trade antonio's expiring contract for nene's(and fillers to match the salary), then denver could have a much better inside presence for the playoffs with kenyon martin and camby's health being such an issue this year and we toronto in return could have the restrictive rights on nene's contract for next year which denver may not have an interest in.
Wayne Embry just stated before the Clips game that he is confident that Davis will be in a Raps uniform next week, and that Davis was really good in their talks.
i couldnt get the source, but i read on hoopshype.com a rumored trade that would send Davis back to Chicago for Tim Thomas.

Also, no one knows the condition Tim Thomas is in..he's probably got a beer gut for staying at home so long. Also, Davis just can't go back to the Bulls because of the league rules, unless the Raps waive him.
it has been a heck of a month for antonio davis as far as i know..his wife is charged with some crimes...oh well...those atheletes wives...i think they watched too much Desparate Wives...starting to overshadow (and have the say over) their husbands that been said, i still hope he reports and act like a professional
i like this trade, we actually gave too much for davis, we gave up a first round pick!!!.Anyways, happy to see AD again, now to only wait for alvin.
Well I just read that he did show up in TO. His comment was "It's not so bad". I'm getting really tired of these guys thinking that the sun doesn't shine as hard up here in Canada. The Raps gave him a big contract and he was making videos up here for Basketball Canada. In other words he made alot of money and got lots of exposure when he last worked in Canada. His comments make it sound like he went to a worse team, when in fact he just got traded to a team that is higher in the standings.

If Toronto had the Clipper's record or Phoenix's record I don't think he would complain.
