During the Patriots-Steelers game, Jim Nantz (I believe) was making a point about how underrated Deon Branch is. He said that a lot of fantasy players had Branch ranked around 25 or 30 as a wideout. Nantz may fail to understand the game. We all know that there a great players that don't always have great numbers, but Phil Simms remark was unexcusable. Simms said, "Are we supposed to care what those people think. I don't care what they think." I have some news for Phil Simms. Phil, there are a lot of people who don't care about the opinion of an overrated retired quarterback, who wouldn't be remember if it weren't for the fact that he was carried by a Hall of Fame coach and a great defense to a Super Bowl. If you don't have something nice to say about the fans, who pay your salary (indirectly), then shut your ignorant pie hole. How stupid is Phil Simms? Doesn't he realize who his audience is? It's football fans who like to play fantasy football! Duh! What little respect I had for Phil Simms is gone.
I heard there are now something like 17 million Fantasy Football players out there. Phil Simms ought to care about "what people think."
i agree with everything you said DD, i didnt hear the quote, cause when i watch football, i turn volume all the way down, since theres no way to turn off commentary, and i throw on very loud music,
