The have made their self worse to many stars and good players just won't work out. It creates many problems and issues therefore i agree the Heat have made them selves worse.
I like all of their additions except Antoine Walker. Williams and Posey for Eddie Jones was a very good trade. Payton is still a solid player.
I agree with durvasa. All of the additions except for Walker were pretty good IMO. Antoine is going to make or break Miami's season IMO.
From the get-go I said I didn’t like the trades they made during the offseason. When Miami had the Jones’ they were much more effective because they made people pay for doubling Shaq or Wade. The players currently on the roster are capable of knocking down jumpers, but they’re not as good shooters as the Jones’. There’s also a certain chemistry the Heat had which isn’t as good this year.
I didn't really like the trade, however I think this team is built more for the pounding of the playoffs rather than the regular season. So I'll make my call on which team was better when I see this years team in the playoffs.
I think they should unload Posey and Williams there are too many good players. Everyone wants to be the star, I say they trade Walker and Posey for draft picks.
Only part I don't like was the trade for Walker..mainly cause I think he is so into his 3pt shooting it's disgusting and he has a mouth that his game don't back up....plus he looks ugly when his entire face squints after fouls or missed shots....so he squints alot and its sick...
i agree with most of you. why change something that isnt bad? with their former team, they had two stars and a bunch of great role players. but they traded most of them away for "big names". we all know that if you have too many stars, it will equal too many egos, which will most likely equal no championship because of chemistry problems. dont believe me? see the lakers dream team with malone, payton, kobe, and shaq. too much egos does not equal a championship.
"see the lakers dream team with malone, payton, kobe, and shaq. too much egos does not equal a championship." exactly! how does Riley not know this? Why do teams still try and create a classic roster of big man, point guard, slasher and DEFENSIVE specialist when they should take what they GOT and maximize it into a workable system (see PHoenix and Mike D'Antoni)
Walker has been playing great lately. The Heat seem to be back on track and I think the trade has paid off now that the on court chemistry is there. We have yet to beat a top team though(Spurs, Mavs,Pistons,Suns) and that is what scares me. Beating Dallas on Thursday will be big if we can do it even though I have my doubts since the Heat don't matchup well agaisnt Dallas.
