<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Iguodala:</div><div class="quote_post">is this real?</div> I seriously doubt it. Firstly, I don't think the numbers match and secondly, Mitch must be smoking some strong marjuana to agree to this.
Also, Lamar Odom seems like the only guy who's racking up the rebounds for us, so we need a good rebounder if we trade him.
Here's a trade scenario, the numbers work, but it's a gamble, do you think it's worth taking? I LIKE the players involved coming from Chicago, but I don't know if they match the talent Chicago acquires from the LA Lakers: SF/PF Lamar Odom $11,465,500 PF/C Slava Medvedenko $3,000,000 SF/SG Luke Walton $1,250,000 SF Devean George $5,000,000 LA Lakers acquire from Chicago: SF/PF Tim Thomas $13,975,000 PG/SG Ben Gordon $3,610,200 PF/SF Andres Nocioni $2,777,500 realgm.com Trade ID is: 2901647 It all works out.

Lamar Odom has enough value to be traded for the three players mentioned put together, let alone adding Slava, George and Walton into the trade.

The backcourt of Kobe and Gordon is the right direction to take for rebuilding this team. Nocioni is a solid role player, and the Lakers unload the rest of Odom's contract. I can't justify why the Bulls make this trade. Does Odom really fit in Chicago when they already have two ball handlers (Hinrich, Duhon)? Tough sell, and I'm not sure Odom is a "Scott Skiles" type of player.
I think the Lakers should release Slava and Green and Sign Christian Leatner and Latrell Sprewell. And where is McKie? I thought he was going to start coming in to the season.

tim thomas is on the trade block and gordon is not, hes happy with the bulls so this will never happen, the only way it will happen is in the fantasy world
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting NYCfinest123:</div><div class="quote_post">tim thomas is on the trade block and gordon is not, hes happy with the bulls so this will never happen, the only way it will happen is in the fantasy world</div> Just because a player is happy with an organization doesn't mean he isn't going anywhere. Perfect example, Caron Butler. He loved L.A., and L.A. loved him? Where is he now? Washington D.C. Do I think this trade will happen? Nope. I don't think Chicago is that stupid, I hope they are though.
Ben Gordon aint going anywhere. He is Chicagos franchise player just like Kobe is LAs franchise guy. Both of them are untouchable. Plus if you trade a player on a rookie contract you are pretty dumb. Gordon is young, cheap, talented. NO way Paxsons accepts that deal because not only are they givinf up Ben, but an expiring contract. ONly way Paxson accepts this is if Kupchak gives him head
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dtpxcore:</div><div class="quote_post">Man, I want to see K-Mart in a Lakers uni.</div> Hellz Yeah! Odom + McKie For K-Mart + Watson Laker Lineup: Watson/Smush Kobe/ Wafer Turiaf/ Geroge K-Mart/ Kwame Mihm/ Bynum Can Anyone say Defense?
Gordon would finally give the lakers a legit second scoring option. But whod facilitate the offense if Odoms gone? Odom has been so inconsistent i doubt he has all THAT much trade value. Finally a realistic trade scenario that seems like a good idea for LA.

Right now Kobe and Smush are doing a lot of the playmaking for the Lakers. If the Lakers acquired Gordon you probably see Kobe move back to the intiator for the rest of the season. Then mold Gordon into the role over the summer or sign someone in the offseason to be the initiator.
