Didn't see a thread so I thought I'd start one............but Swift played big today, especially with Yao having a slow 2nd half.

Man, Yao started it out blazing hot but the Knicks did a better job of forcing him out of the post. Eddy Curry also played great, getting very good post position. Our perimeter defense today was out of line but TMac's clutch play saved us.

Swift played his best game in a long time, some good post defense and finishing around the basket.

No minutes for Chuck Hayes. I'm not happy too about that. I think he's earned a stable spot in the rotation, regardless of who we're playing.

Hayes is like a safety valve, when things start to fall apart with Juwan and Swift, Hayes is there to save the day.

Which is stupid. JVG should just play the best players, instead of giving preference to those with the big contracts.

Well Swift and Howard both played pretty good today, so I can see why Hayes sat.

Swift became a play maker for the rockets in the end of the game in the forth quarter scoring all all but 2 pts in the forth quarter and also snatching several rebounds with two other guyz also fighting for it. He also blocked a jalen rose jumper that could have tied the game. I think he is fighting his way towards a starting slot. I think he did more damage in 18minutes the juwan howard did in 28minutes i hope to see him in the starting slot. What i don't understand is why did van gundy not give the minutes he gave bowen to hayes becuz hayes has been on a tear.

Because Bowen got a lot of minutes at small forward. Hayes is too slow to be able to keep up with the small forwards of the league like Richard Jefferson, Artest, Stojakovic, or Szczerbiak. Hayes would most effectively be at powerforward where he can bang with the big guys down low.

I think Stro will get some good minutes until the trade deadline to see how valuable he will be to the team. Just the impression I've got.

Yao looked great in the first half, but started to get bullied down low by Curry late. His wind will take some time to come back, but he has been playing very good.

Skip has played great in stretches. He still makes avoidable mistakes, but doesn't turn over the ball a whole lot.
He and TMac are developing some very good chem. TMac not having to work as hard with the ball in his hand is good. He's been taking J's off screens and getting good looks.

    hope you're feelin better man

I really hope T-Mac can shake this shooting slump. we need him to make more shots so he doesn't need to take as many...
