You know the drill. It 'aint no thang but a chicken wang -- or a chicken nugget -- or twelve of them, they'll all be gobbled up tonight.

-- Mullin gets a good look at a few potentially available big men: Camby and Nene.

-- Pietrus to get significant minutes guarding Melo.

-- Baron's ankle healed-up and a spirited match-up between he and... Andre Miller!

-- JRich: Shows no signs of pain the back, is the difference maker down the stretch, and continues his stellar FT shooting.

-- Monty: He may not have said it in practice but he's feeling some internal pressure to take minutes from Derek Fisher and hand them over to Monta Ellis at the back-up PG. And who better to chase Earl boykins around all night? Not Fish. Ellis could get significant minutes tonight.

-- Biedrins: Continues to play like an animal. With Baron's ankle healed-up, look for the Long-Armed Latvian to throw down some monster jams.

-- Murph: Continues to flirt with a season-average double-double. As Rick Barry says, "He's a classic double-double guy." Not sure what the hell that means, but hey! go Warriors.

-- Ike: Can I get a 'lil bit? Home boy has been jonesing for some PT and some touches in the paint. He won't be truly effective down there until he can pass out of the double team (and not out of exasperation but to make a play). The paradox Ike must learn here is that once you look to pass more, you'll actually get more good shots for yourself. Look for Ike keep his eyes up and options open in the post.

Oop, I was about to say something when you posted tonight's game as "vs. the Sonics". But you caught it already. [IMG]

Also, is Nene still out with that injury? If Mullin takes a look at him, it'll be in a tailored suit.

Considering most centers really suck, Nene could be an interesting player for us if we ever wanted to do some kind of sign and trade deal or get his bird rights and re-up him. He's got big, soft hands, he plays aggressive, he's athletic and strong, he can attack the basket. He probably should work on his rebounding and free throw shooting otherwise he's going to be a little bit disappointing. What good is having a big guy when he plays small and doesn't dominate the boards. I don't think Nene is the answer, but he's an interesting F/C prospect much like our other guys like Biedrins and Taft. At this point, I'd rather have either Biedrins or Taft since Nene isn't going to do smack for anybody this year. If there's any trade going to be made, it will be for both the short term and the future. We've already got a lot of potential, we need something ready to do battle right now and understands things from a veteran's standpoint.

Well, Foyle with wide open dunk really is 50/50 shot [IMG]...

Nene is expected to miss the season. I would NOT deal for him until I KNOW he can play...not that we need another project. Kelvin Cato could be useful,if we can deal Adonal, generally its guesswork to wonder who is available and at what cost. A lot of deals happen that don't make sense.

Foyle with a wide open dunk seems more like a 25% shot if fg %'s didn't mess with that logic. First he has to catch it, then he has to drop it in the rim. That's a lot of steps for a guy like him.

Cato would be an okay guy if he's in shape.

Jesus, I have a better chance of making that dunk than Foyle. And I can't even dunk!

Agreed, but I think he just broke his foot yesterday.

In other hand, Biedrins has nice hand, long arm, and quick hop. Can't wait when he becomes a legit center in this league...

Warriors are right in this game despite not shooting so well. But even more amazing is we're playing an athletic team that can rebound and we're actually doing okay on the glass. Great play by Baron Davis and Jrich on that alley oop 180 reverse, double clutch dunk.

Dammit Monty's got to talk to these refs at halftime or something, we're getting shafted. They called a flagrant foul on Dunleavy who was clearly going for the ball, and a ticky tacky foul on Baron Davis. But since is the first half, no need to panic. We need to play well in the 2nd, and that's the only thing that matters. Who cares if we blow the team out early, it's about holding the lead and not drying up late in the game.

The Warriors offense is so predictable and boring. There is absolutely no weakside movement. None. Awful.

Alley-oop, nice, whatever. Do you guys want a good team or not? How about some passes for an assist on someone moving off the ball for an easy 15 footer or lay in?

I am frustrated with the searching for "what we need" rather than working with what we have. Forget the bailout, let's win with what we have now. The beginning of the season had so much promise because of Baron and looking at the Sonics win 50 last year. Well how did the Sonics do it? Luck? Some, but because they played hard, fought for the loose balls, did all the hustle things. They are not playing that way this year. Neither are the Warriors.

I've pretty much given up on this group when it comes to fundamentally sound ball. The players just don't buy into any of these concepts we admire. I'll just take whatever works at this point. [IMG] The development of these guys in spacing the floor, running plays, executing, setting screens, reading the floor, it's probably going to take time. But no doubts this team could be better if they played organized and were more efficient in certain areas... especially points off turnovers. That's found money, but we can't convert. Then there's our poor shooting %'s and high allowed fg %'s. We have to get better looks, take better shots, and protect the basket better.

Ohh -- that Dunleavy tip on the missed AB freethrow was priceless!

How about his pass to AB in the first place? That was pro.

The Warrior defense is swarming like an angry cloud of killer bees. This quarter is one of the best I've ever seen. 23-1 run??? Hell yeah!!!

Nice 3rd!!! Now hopefully J-Rich can step right back into the groove after sitting most of the 3rd. It'd be nice to see Montay instead of Fisher for once.
