Derek Anderson is expected to come back wednesday against the lakers. Also, Barry has a chance to come back to. That leaves one person left injured, Bob Sura. He is expected back March 1st. After getting back anderson and barry do you think we have a chance to beat the lakers on wednesday and then do you think we have a chance to make a run with bob sura to make the playoffs, possibly the 7th or 8th seed. I think that the 7th and 8th seed will be teams close to 500 and thats why I think with this 4 game winning streak the next few games we can get an 8-row run. We get barry and anderson then own every team we play excluding detroit, spurs, and mavs. Everyone else seems beatable if mcgrady can score more than 20 pts and yao with 20 and 10 and one more in double figures. We also have a chance to get to play dallas again if we are in the 8th seed in the playoffs and get revenge. Is anyone else with me on going for dallas for wins because then if we're 8th then we play them and own them. I think we may have hopes to the playoffs if we win the next 33 or so games and get to at least MAYBE 45 wins.. Who thinks this can still happen? If we dont make the playoffs and really try, that will suck because you have a very low percent of chance of getting the first pick or second pick in the 2006 draft.

I think we'll probably end up shy of 40 wins and miss the playoffs, even if those guys come back.

there might be a trade sooner or later this month that will improve our team even more. Im thinking its for a backup SF because anderson is a SG.. Thats why I think we might win 45 games and make the playoffs. Caroll dawson wants to make some deals because we've gotten some but we are starting to win with yao and t-mac so its a hold for now because he doesnt want to screw up the chemistry

Great news about Anderson...I really want to see what this team is like when its healthy and has its full complement of players...we have to go somethin like 32-2 just to reach the 51 wins of last year, but I feel that its possible we could end up with 43 or so, which means we have to go 24-10 or somethin the rest of the way, which I feel is doable...

I wouldn't expect much from him. He's been out so long.
I just hope he has gotten some good time to fix his J.

It seems like so long ago since I was saying his shooting was killing us.

Anderson's comeback will add size to our small backcourt lineup. If not backing up at small forward when TMac is resting he'll probably spell out Wesley at the SG position while Head will man the point when Alston goes to the bench. I hope Hayes won't be put on the inactive list. I would prefer Moochie, Baxter or Bowen(in addition to Sura) on the the inactive list.

On Sports Radio 610 tonight someone said he talked to Anderson's "manager" and that the Rockets are planning on buying out his contract.

Wow. Sad to see this happen, but could this move be paving the way for a move that will get us a similar player to Derek Anderson? Latrell Sprewell certainly comes to mind.

Sprewell isn't any better than DA, in my view. Not at this stage in his career.

And it's not certain that the buyout will happen; basically just a rumour at this point. If it is true, then clearly the Rockets aren't very confident this that we'll make the playoffs, and they probably just want to develop the younger guys (like Bogans).
