Philly defense has step it up a lil bit so would it be nice to bring in a third scorer and if so who?
well, from the beginning of the season, we all thought it was supposed to be korver being our third option, but after he got the long term deal, i guess he just lost all his motivation or something because now he just sucks. as for a third scorer? i prefer someone who can shoot the three ball very well. i actually thought wally would be a good fit for the team, but obviously his contract made him a no no.
Iggy, Korver has been very disapointing this year, but if Iggy can get a consistent jumpshot watch out!
Actually, Korver doesn't "suck" (even though I've been on his case as much as anybody this year)... the move to the bench just effected him more than everybody thought it would. He was in a groove before that, and after he was replaced by Johnny he just hasn't gotten it together yet. A lot of people were placing too many expectations on Iggy this year. Honestly, he's right there at where I thought he would be this year. If he develops a jumper, and can start finishing at the basket (lay-ups, not dunks), he'll be our third option next season. At this point our "third" option is a mystery every night. Who will it be? Iggy? Johnny? Korver? Dalembert? We don't know... and our offense has slipped because of that.
Iggy!!!!!!!! shooting 51% from the field and 38% from 3 isnt good enough for you? if AI would pass to him more....
I see what everyone is saying but I rather this be a problem moreso than defense. As long as we have a 2nd scorer behind AI the third guy can be anybody. But since the defense has picked up the offense went down. But I'm sure by late 2nd half of the season we will have a well balanced attack on both ends. It's going to take time. Like Mo said, this team is a work in progress. We had our way on offense at first, but struggled on defense and now it's the opposite. So if you put it together logically we should start coming together post All-Star break. But like BigMo mentioned Kyle was our 2nd option but he lost his groove so he needs to find it again and Johnny scoring role is inconsistent every night so, he needs to figure it out. Also I can't wait till Willie gets back but for the most part everything is a work in progress. We just go to be patient.
I think Iggy is the man for the job, but his teammates need to have more confidence in him, and they would if he had more confidence in himself. He is shooting the ball well at the moment, but is still a little inconsistent. If he can sure up that percentage and take games over in parts, then Iverson, Webber and Iggy is a tremendous 3 pronged attack, plus whatever you can get out of Korver from downtown and Dalembert on garbage buckets and put backs, this team should be better than they are right now. Hopefully the All Star Break is just what we need for a second half season run.

I have a feeling there is gonna be problems in the guard rotation. We have too many guards....Willie, AI, Salmons,Korver and Iggy interchangable, Olllie.
thats why i have a feeling salmons might be traded. he has an expiring contract, and his tradability is at an all time high. i wouldnt be surprised if BK traded him for a decent big man
Our third scorer is Iguodala. You can't really have too many scorers on this team because A.I. and Webber demand 20+ shots a game. Until they cut down on their shots, Iguodala will be the closest thing to a third scorer that you'll get.

Iggy should be able to be their third scorer in a couple of years from now. He was a good steal for the sixers in the draft.

If we just simply surround him with the correct players we can easily be a top Eastern Powerhouse. The only two contenders in the East are Miami and Detroit. This offseason I want to see Billy King completely change our team while keeping the core of Iverson, Igoudala, and Dalembert.

Um, there is no way we're ever going to build a team like the Pistons, unless we can somehow pry away Joe Dumars away from Detroit. You'd think Billy King being a Duke graduate would be smarter, but apparently he skipped a lot of classes...
