``I'm kind of excited about it,'' Dunleavy said before the game against Denver. ``I think it's going to be a good thing. I hope it will be able to last, get this thing going.''</div>

Gee, if that's the case, this should have been done months ago (before Pietrus' injury). I suggested benching Dunleavy would enable him to earn his minutes. Well, better late than never.

Hey, my hat goes off to one of the few players in the NBA that will swallow their pride and just speak out in regards to the good of the team. That shows class, that gives fans like us faith in the chemistry of the team, and that gives Dunleavy respect in the eyes of his teammates: he declares -- albeit unexpectedly -- that he's excited about doing whatever it is that's best for this team and gives them the best chance of winning.

I just became a huge Dunleavy fan because of this one, single approach that he's taken to the fate the universe has put before him.

Kudos MDJ. Here's to you getting a ton of touches of the bench.

Pietrus has been the same way in past interviews he's said he'll do whatever he can to help the team from the bench. Gotta love the attitude from the team.
