If the Packers panic then I don't believe they can get back in the race. The defense has played well this year(better than last year). If Favre doesn't try to do much and it becomes more like an Ahman Green team then we can make a legit playoff run. If not then it'll continue to cause heart ace. I'd like to see us make a run not only for my "high" and for Favre as well but to shut up Michael Irvin who's been saying nothing but garbage about Brett Favre and the Packer organization. What's strange is Sherman has the 3rd most wins as a head coach in this decade and has been giving a 2 year contract extension but on Sunday Countdown an NFL Insider told Chris Mortenson that Sherman could lose his job if Green Bay continues to struggle. Mortenson also reported that Brad Childress the Eagles offensive coordinator is likely to suceed Sherman as Head Coach if this were to happen. Not sure if TT and Sherman are getting along but Thompson did very little this off-season in making Sherman's job easier. Hopefully they turn it around and get rolling soon. If we can beat the Panthers which I think we could, we match up well with the Saints next week which "should" be a winnable game but I'm not making any guarntee's but 2-3 heading into that Minnesota Game would make it huge!
i hope if there is a new coach, he will still have Brett Favre because the pack could easly return to the playoffs after a great offseason and a new coach
yea if anyone were to replace him it should be Bates. But as porky said Sherman hasnt got a lot to work with and the owner didnt help him there
Overreacting. It's not even midseason yet and people are concerned about losing their jobs. He may keep his job if he gets division title or go to the playoffs.

This town was asking for him to leave at 1-4 last season and actually most were excited to see that he was no longer the GM but I gotta say. Give him this year and next at least. I mean maybe TT has a 5 year plan or something but if he does I don't think Sherman is involved. Bates would be a good canidate if he gets this D turned around. So far it looks better but not good enough for TT to consider Bates as the Head Coach.
I think the packers will be 1-7 because they are playing really hard teams, Panthers, Vikings, Bengals, Steelers. The Saints if they dont fumble the kickoff could beat them also. If they started 1-7 and lost to ATL in week 10 Sherman would be out
All this talk about firing Sherman is lame. He's doing the best he can with what he has to work with. The Packers are going to turn it around anyway. I wouldn't worry too much if I were Sherman. However...IF (and it's a big if) they do can him, I'd rather have Bates than Brad Childress.

I mean the team could of just quit the last 2 years but always bounced back. Whether we struggle this year or not I think he should stay. The Steelers didn't bail on Bill Cowher. The Titans haven't bailed on Jeff Fisher. Right now Pitt is a very good copy cat team if you ask me and the Titans have got some youth much like us outside of QB. Bates has our D at #16 overall and #14 in pts allowed after 3 weeks. If he keeps this job up with the players he has then he def deserves a Head Coaching Job somwhere.
