<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Steelerfan_2005)</div><div class='quotemain'>No way dude, I'm taking the Chargers too!</div> Of course you are Its hard to pick against us in Gillette even without Light and Harrison...I'm definitely curious to see how we play defensively but I have a feeling we are going to shred there Defense and Brady is going to have a monster day...Its sucks though cus I'm going to miss this one..I'll be at the last sox game of the season vs the Yanks...hopefully we get in the playoffs..
I know there's some bias, but how can you think that San Diego won't do the same? Tomlinson, Brees, Gates, McCardell..... those guys should hang 30 points on your defense. If this game was in December, I'd take the Pats, but early October? Brady will have a monster game, but it won't be enough.
SD's OL is not great. So I think if the Pats get up early & force Brees to pass then we can get to him.

Freaking Troy Brown was there corner last year and they still won the SB. Im not a fan of the Patriots and I hope they dont even make the playoffs, but I will never bet agaisnt them... They could have a bunch of pre-school kids on there team and still win games. Thats what happens when you have an excellent coach. I feel the Partriots will win in a close one, but they will win none-the-less...
They couldn't beat the Panthers, something that Miami just did. Now granted, New England is home and I think they'll have a good game, but they play every team differently. If you think Vrabel can cover Gates, you're nuts. If Tomlinson can run, they will be able to pass. Too much offense. Call it a hunch, call it a gut feeling, but don't call it sour grapes. I just think that San Diego wins this week.
They mananged to hold Parker to around 50 yds. I know he's no LT, but Parker had almost 300yds in 2 games and then they completly shut him down, I think they will do the same to LT, I dont think he will get much more than 80yds on the ground.
Parker had 77 yards on 15 carries. Which is almost a 4 yard average. Coaching was as much to blame for shutting him down as New England's defense. I don't think shutting down Tomlinson is an easy job, especially without Bruschi, Johson, and now Harrison.....

Also playing the 4-3 a little more has helped make up for there loss. The key is containing LT on sunday and it won't be easy..but as long as we score and can put them in obvious passing situations on 3rd down our Defense should be able to get off the field like it did last sunday. I also like having Flutie who can give Belichick some insight on what they are trying to do with Gates and McCardell..not that he really needs any help in the games planning department since no-one confuses an offense better than him. And a correction Parker carried the ball 17 times for 55 yards and a 3.2avg with Veron Haynes getting 2 carries for 7 yards...while Rothlisberger had 3 for 17 and a long of 10. Pitts inability to get the run game going was one of the main reasons for them being 3-13 on third downs and losing the Time of possesion battle which is always huge in beating them.
You know it's 2005 and the Patriots are at probaly their weakest point they've been in since they went 9-7. I mean there not unstopable. They went 14-2 last year but 2 teams stopped them. Now in the playoffs you can consider them unstopable. I personally think the Chargers are gonna put some points on the board. Wouldn't Rodney Harrison be the guy to cover Gates? Well he's out so Gates could have the big day. Dillion needs to step up and have a big day. San Diego isn't what I call a stellar defense. I think he's due to play well. Brady is coming off a perfect 4th quarter and seeing what Eli did to the Chargers D, I can't think why Brady wouldn't do similar things. LT is a monster and no matter what the Pats and their fans think, you can't stop him. Contain him and keep him out of the endzone is what I think they can do. I still give LT a TD for sure. 15 or 16 in a row. AMAZING! But New Englands offense should do just as good, if not better than the Chargers offense and being at home is always a big advantage. Patriots 27 Chargers 23

I didn't know..no wonder why my calendar doesn't seem to match up..shit! Of course I know and where have I said we are unstopable either now or in the playoffs? Also this team is NOTHING like the 9-7 2002 pats that had NO ability to stop the run and no talent, besides Seymore, on the line. We have played well against the run and that was evident last week against one of the best OL and rushing attacks in the game. As for stopping LT I know that is basically impossibe and I'm sure he'll grab a score..but containing him is very possible. [quote name='porky88']Wouldn't Rodney Harrison be the guy to cover Gates? Why is anyone even thinking the Pats wont win this? They just beat the "unbeatable" Steelers, IN PITT!!! Until the Patriots have a bad season I think they should be favorites in every game...

Happy now!!!! You do very little of hiding it. I mean I can see it! I am sure Panthersare1 can see it! hmmmmmmm I didn't mean anything by that. I was just stating my OPINION! Since your going to be a ignorant prick about it then I won't do so no more! Edt: I wasn't even just talking to you! Again just giving what I think might go down. Edit#2: Whether you got beef with me or not for some reason I will never judge you as a fan and I wasn't singling you or bakes out. You guys are classy guys and I would never stoop as low to single out someone's loyalty to there team or passion of the game. I think we add a misunderstanding and no hard feelings bro.!
its alright to voice our opions about the pats losing. I think that SD is on fire right now and ready to go. With LT i think they can accomplish anything
lol... on fire? It was there first win!!! So next week when the Packers beat the Kittens I can say there on fire too?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (favre4mvp)</div><div class='quotemain'>lol... on fire? It was there first win!!! So next week when the Packers beat the Kittens I can say there on fire too?</div> No but making guarntees when your 0-3 doesn't make you look any better.
I thought you were a Packer fan? You dont feel the Packers are gonna win? Plus, Im not the one calling a 1-2 team on fire...

One's success breeds resentment from all the rest.

I was born on a preseason game against the Patriots. Maybe I was destined to be a Packer fan. I of course started to really really get into football when I was 4 years old. I also live in the TRUE TITLETOWN of GREEN BAY WISCONSIN! Maybe you've been there?
