The type of guys Dirk struggles against are the Swingman type of defenders such as T-Mac in last years playoffs. One of our most underrated defensive players is Shandon Anderson and I believe he can be a very good weapon to use against Dirk. Diesel vs the WNBA Player- Shaq is probably extra excited to play against Dampier so I think Shaq will play extra motivated tonight to make sure Dampier does in fact play like a WNBA player. Dampier can do nothing to stop him either. Marquis Daniels and Josh Howard- These are two guys the Heat seem to struggle against when these two teams play. If we can lstop them from scoring over 20 points a game a piece which isn't really astonishing, but it will certainly help. We can't let these guys beat us. <u>My Prediction</u> I think the game will be close until the final minutes of the 4th quarter where Dallas will explode. The Heat don't seem to match up very well against Dallas so I think Dallas will take it, 106-98
Dallas will win this game because at the 3-4-5 spot they are quicker and more skilled than the Miami 3-4-5. It will be the corvettes (dirk,howard,van horn) versus the excursions (shaq,zo,udonis etc) up front. For that REASON, if Miami wants to win this game they should give Antoine Walker some minutes cause he is a Dallas type of forward. Dallas should maximize Josh Howard tonight and forget about Damp and Diop cause Shaq and Zo will be too much for them. I think Dallas should focus its defense on the perimeter, forget about guarding Shaq or Zo you can't, better to stop them from getting the ball in the first place by disrupting the flow and by forcing turnovers from Gary Payton Jason Williams and double-teaming No. 3.
^^ No problem The 1st quarter was basically the refs giving Dallas a handjob the whole time. You got Josh Howard jumping on Walker with a silent whistle. Edit: 51-38 At Halftime Dallas Leads. Shaq is havng a great game so far, but Dwyane Wade has been SHUT DOWN! I can honestly say I never heard of this Adrian Griffin guy before this game and he is impressing me with his defensive effort.
Wow the worst game of the year! We lose by 36...I only watched the 2nd half and we totally got owned. Props to the Mavericks.
