This is a good young atheletic team who has potential on both sides of the court. But the offense looks lost, guys play too much one on one, and there isn't enough ball sharing... here are a couple guys who are on the market that I know of so far.. Watson Knight Arroyo Alanta is an interesting team, the most atheletic team in the league, I like watching them on League Pass, but their offense needs a distributor.
stop rubbing it in dude...haha, just kidding, but yeah, we need a PG bad. I would absolutley LOVE to get arroyo. he's a great, young PG who is a pass first type of guy. Watson is also a real good option. he's a real floor general, and plays great D. I'd think twice about Knight though... he's just too old... kind of just a temporary fix...
I'm not rubbing it in..I'm just saying this team would be a lock for the playoffs if they took Paul, and would be the 2nd most exciting team in the NBA if they did behind the Suns. Honestly, you guys are set at every position Johnson @ SG Smith @ SF Harrington @ PF Zaza @ C...they're all young and productive. so when I think of a team who needs a PG its Alanta, especially with the loss of Lue. So hey, as a Knick fan, you guys would definately upgrade....drafting Rando or Sergio Rodriguez in the draft would be huge. Keep your head up...you're not trapted in the salary cap and have productive young players. Just a pure PG and more defenders would get Alanta back in the playoffs.
They had the chance to get the best point guard for years to come. Instead, they elected to draft Marvin Williams...who they hope can one day be at Chris Pauls current level. Maybe a bit higher...but Billy Knight is just...not a good GM.

He's got all the physical tools he needs to be a superstar. plus, he's got the Mentality to be great. he wants to get better, and is willing to do what he needs to to be great. give him 2-3 years, and he's going to be amazing. mark my words. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">what about jarret jack</div> actually, i wouldn't be suprised if we got him. BK really wanted him in the draft, but couldn't get him. i bet he'd be willing to trade for him.

I think he'll be a star, but he's going to have to be exceptional to get to the level Chris Paul will.
They need to move Childress (either trade him or have him become a permanant 6th man for the future), move Johnson to SG, and convert Marvin or Josh into PF's. Then they can trade or draft for a PG.

I have nothing agaisnt Williams, and think he will be a nice player, but Paul was projected to be like Isiah or KJ, and he's showing that. Marvin would have to be some REAL good player to match that. The Hawks had 2 superstars in the bucket. One filled a positional need, and was not extremely redundant on their team. The other didn't fill a need, and was redundant on their team, should be an easy choice.
^ but that's just it. Thomas and Kwame have attitude problems, and aren't/weren't willing to do what they had to to get better. I'm not going to lie. right now i'd rather have paul. but i can definately see why BK picked Marvin. before the draft Marvin was being called moses malone with a jumper. this kid is supposed to be a freak. and it's not like he isn't showing improvement. his FG% has gone signficantly up every month. Also, i think that this year's deep crop of PGs might have affected the decision to draft williams.
