Carmelo and Chris Paul got screwed. Ray Allen??? You got to be freakin kidding me. Sure's he's scoring like he was last season, but his team has been absolutely horrible.

Denver is first in there division, and Carmelo Anthony is 7-11 in field goal attemps to either win/tie a game in the last 15 seconds. Thats clutch, that All-Star type game, especially if you compare to classmate LeBron, who, we've all seen him late game heroics this season (or lack there of) I just do not justify giving automatic All-Star selections due to reputation. I love KG, dont get me wrong, however, THIS season, he does not deserve a spot. Plain and simple. And with that, I leave my plea to Kevin McHale, PLEASE TRADE KG, HE DESERVES A CHANCE TO AT LEAST COMPETE! LOOK AT YOUR FRANCHISE, HE LOOKS LIKE HE'S READY TO KILL HIMSELF AFTER EVERY GAME! Ok, enough said. Give the man the respect he has earned, sever your ties, and FREE KG..........FREE KG...........FREE KG...........FREE KG.......
Voodoo, I really thought you're pulling for your boy Pau to get selected. I even remember you making an argument for him. 3 days ago: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Why the lack of love for Pau Gasol? He's averaging just under 20 ppg and 10 rpg on one of the top teams in the West. He seems like an obvious choice to me</div> Today: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I'm happy that Gasol made it as a fan, but looking at it from an outsider's perspective, I don't think he should have been on the roster over Camby, Anthony, or Paul. The Grizzlies are having a great year (26-22), and Gasol's numbers are impressive (19.5 ppg, 9.2 rpg). However, the Grizzlies are 3-11 in their last 14 games. Nobody seems to be talking about their losing streak, but Gasol plays a large part in their struggles. He's towards the bottom of the league in 4th quarter scoring with about 2.8 ppg, and the stats really tell the story in this case; he disappears when the game's on the line and the game is put in the hands of Bobby Jackson or Chucky Atkins. Gasol needs to get back to what he was doing about a month ago, and that's being aggressive and playing with toughness; he's really lost that edge as of late. SHOULDN'T have made it: Ray Allen Pau Gasol</div>
Too many great people in the west.. Thats why the west ownz the east.. Man so many good people and good teams in the west
Oh come on J Rich is an All star! The warriors were the suprising team this season!! I have a feeling J Rich needs to go somewhere else to be an All star

But typical Warriors basketball, they underachieve for 75% of the season, and they go on a major streak the last 20 games or so, you end up saying to yourself "man, this team is starting to fly, they're definitly a playoff contender next year", and the same scenario reoccures the follwoing season.
I would've taken Allen out and put in Carmelo or Chris Paul but, Allen has had a season so far, Congrats to the reserves.
Stop hatin on my boy Ray Allen. We need to see some good shooters/shooting/3 point shooting. All star game can't just be about dunks. I know Melo deserves it this year. He has hit more game winners than anyone else I can think of this season. He did miss that 3 against Chicago the other night though, and did get blocked on the shot before that...but thats not the point. To be honest McGrady shouldn't be there thsi season. If it were the most deserving player contest it would be Melo. Even though I don't vote for who deserves it the most but who I would rather like to see the most. That is KG, Wade, Kobe,T-Mac, AI, Ray Allen, Pierce, Marion, Lewis, Yao. hmmm 7/10 of the players are westerners....how did that happen?

Sure that team doesn't play defense but puts up really good offensive numbers. They are 24-26 much better compared to last seasons 14-36 at this point of the season.

When I made that post, it looked like the Grizzlies were still one of the top teams in the West and looked like they were getting out of their "slump", but with the way they've continued to play, they could easily miss the playoffs, and Gasol's fourth quarter play (or lack thereof) will be one of the main reasons why.
ARTEST WHAT THE DAVID STERN IS DOING THIS ON PURPOSE HE KNOWS IF ARTEST IS THERE THEN LEBRON AND ALL OTHER SF's WOULD GET SHUT AND SCORE WOULD BE LOW FOR EAST CUZ OF HIS D. I am mad.

We've been through a hell of a lot worse slumps then this one, and we've always come back.
