Well done to the big guy, very much deserved and great recognition for the way he's taken his game to the next level.

I'm happy for him as a fan, but it doesn't quite take the sting away from the 3-11 slide or the fact that he's averaging 2.8 ppg in the fourth quarter. Marcus Camby was probably more deserving, and if Kevin Garnett could have been considered a center, then so were Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony. Still, it's great that the Grizzlies FINALLY have an All-Star; first in franchise history. [IMG]

I understand your frustration, but one bad patch shouldn't blight what has been a great year for Pau.

He has improved greatly in a lot of areas and like the team, will come out of this slump soon.

Yeah, I'm frustrated with our "slump", but I also really feel like Camby got snubbed. Aside from averaging a career high 15 ppg, he's #2 in the NBA in rebounding and #1 in blocks. Yeah, Pau Gasol has played 48 games this season while Camby has only played 31, but Camby's always going to be hurt, his body is just skin and bones. Like Ernie Johnson pointed out after they announced the All-Star teams, Camby still has more double-doubles than Gasol despite playing 17 less games.

But I'm really looking at this the wrong way. I guess if anyone should have been left off it should have been Ray Allen, just based on his team's horrible start, or even Kevin Garnett, who's not having that much better of a year than Gasol statistically.

Don't doubt Camby's worthiness, just don't think it makes Pau any less worthy.
