Worth looking at given he's on his way out of Houston? I know he's no star, but he has proven he can handle the ball and we've got to do something to arrest this slide. He'd come on the cheap and would at least be worth looking at IMO.
Is he really a point guard though, or would he just be another ball handling shooting guard like every single player in our backcourt? I just don't see the need for him, and I don't really see the need for trading anyone on our current roster.
He's obviously not a PG, but he is a better ball-handler and distributor than Atkins. As for not trading anyone on our roster. I'd actually pay someone to take Chucky Atkins.

If anyone on our team should be traded, I think it's Lorenzen Wright. He's having a pretty down year so far and will probably skip out of Memphis this summer for a bigger contract. Seeing how valuable big men are in the NBA, we could probably get a really good point guard in return for him, like Derek Fisher or Eric Snow. That would also clear some room for Big Jake, who I think we both agree deserves a chance in the starting lineup.

Anderson's a chucker, a trait that I doubt Mike Fratello would appreciate. Anderson is someone who can create his own shot but his selection is poor and his percentages are never high. Average defender with a lot of injury problems, and I highly doubt he could be a good distributor. In Houston, he took way too many shots and at times ignored Yao. Chuck Atkins might be pass-fourth but Anderson is probably worse. Still, a good swingman to have coming off the bench, especially considering the fact that a second round pick or two would suffice in getting him to Memphis.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Locke:</div><div class="quote_post">I highly doubt he could be a good distributor. </div> He was a good distributor when running the point in Portland around 2003-2004. He's no natural point guard, but he has shown he can adequately run the point and distribute the ball. Bottom line, he'd be a better distributor and organiser than Chucky Atkins.
