Recommendation: He played 16 minutes off the bench, scoring five points. Nick Collison likely will start Sunday as Radmanovic's recent play, coupled with his injury, have cost him his starting job, and cost the Sonics patience. "I told him if he didn't try (to play) soon I was going to have (trainer) Mike Shimensky pull out some adult diapers for him," coach Bob Hill told the Tacoma News Tribune.</a></div> Now that is funny, I don't care who you are.
LOL - I don't think I can remember a better coach as far as soundbites go. Hill just flat out tells it like it is, and is totally willing to throw his players under the bus. I might not always be effective, but at least its giving us some mild amusement during operation lottery balls.
How many games has Vlad been starting, since Hill's been coach? Like 20+ games off the top of my head. With him not being able to blame anyone but himself now, he's gotta be depressed with Bauman and turning down that 6/42.
It has to be hard reading the papers to find your interim head coach calling you out. There is a reason why Smush Parker was going to kick Hill's ass. Hill does not have the credibility to do or say half the stuff that he does. It's amazing that he can even think of making the demands that he is making. He is basically calling out the players for not doing their jobs, his assistants for overstepping their boundaries, the GM for not making a trade, etc. when he isn't even signed on for next season. Talk about cooking your goose. He has gone on the record saying that we will look to tank if we don't make a move by the deadline. I've never heard a coach blame a season on not having an adequate back up point guard. Now granted Flip has played like sh*t, but back up point guard isn't a position that I think will make or break a team. As Bert Gordon so eloquently said in the Hustler: Losing is easy when you have an excuse.
