Just a real hot rumor oh hoopshype.com, oh what the hell the Knicks arent using the guy and he could really help a team like Seattle out that could use some beef down low.

Why in the world would Seattle want Malik Rose?

True, especially since they have Reggie Evans...maybe they think Rose is the nore talented offensive player of the two, but they dont need offense...

That contract is awful, though. This is probably a Vecsey story, isn't it.

I actually like Rose. He has just enough talent to really contribute to a mediocre team. Let's not and say that we did.

Not sure what use he'd be, even though I'm a fan. He doesn't have an expiring contract so what would we get out of it?

With the state of the roster at the moment, I actually think it would be more beneficial to keep going on our current course and get a top ten pick, rather than look for a quick fix to grab a seventh or eighth seed. Give Collison starting minutes at power forward and continue to rotate Swift and Petro in the middle - it won't get us to the playoffs, but it will make us a better team in the long run.

Penny Hardaway on the other hand? That would be a tasty 15 million off the books at the end of this season.

If they're not going to use Reggie, there's no way they'd use Malik.

Seattle is thinking rebuild and rebuild on a budget. Malik was a nice player when his contract was short and sweet, now its so out of line he has negative trade value, you'd trade Rose and a first to get a second

Malik is under-rated as a low post scorer and is tenacious on the boards. Given the time to play, he would put up some good numbers in Seattle. When he played here in San Antonio, he put up great numbers when Duncan would go down and he was our energy guy for years off the bench. That being said, he is not worth his contract, but if the trade was for another overpaid player (or two) that Seattle is not using much, then I'd say go ahead and do it.

Any idea who they would deal him for? Knowing Isiah, it's probably for another overpaid swingman.

This is 2006, where have you been bandwagon fan? Rose wasn't the same player in 02-03, Rose is one of the worst PF's in the NBA currently.

Anyone for Rose is a good idea at this point.
