@ Where: The Arena in Oakland When: 2/13/2006 @ 7:30PM Season Series: 1-0 Memphis (@ Memphis 104 - 94 Warriors 1/3/2006) Warriors Starting Lineup Grizzlies Starting Lineup ___________________________________ Hopefully Baron plays, I dont know what his status is for the game. Troy is questionable as is Zarko. Chris Taft is out for the game. Miller and Damon are out for the Memphis Grizzlies.
I wish Foyle was out... man has he been stinkin it up. I don't even see the 110% that he usually gave before. And I thought he was gonna semi break out this season too after seeing him play well in preseason (same goes for Dunleavy).
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting custodianrules2:</div><div class="quote_post">Baron is day to day. It's only a rolled ankle.</div> It has been widely reported that he'll be held out until after the ASG. Any word of Troy Murphy? Still questionable?
Murphy's status does not look good. Has not tested the "rollability" of the ankle per this am print reports.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Jerry West:</div><div class="quote_post">It has been widely reported that he'll be held out until after the ASG. Any word of Troy Murphy? Still questionable?</div> Oh, didn't know. I read on the W's site it's day to day for Baron. Murphy is probably out that long then (if his ankle is severely sprained as Baron's and reports are true). Unfortunately, big men ankles aren't built stronger than guys that are Baron's size. Bigger men have to support more weight.

It sucks having two of our "stars" out, but IMO the more minutes for Monta Ellis the merrier. I just hope we don't lose him via lack of $$ down the road. With Troy out, it's now-or-never for Ike. Big fella has got to get his motor going. He gets way too discouraged when a play doesn't go his way. I want to see him go every play like it's the final possession. Who will stop Gasol tonight?
Read today that Murphy thinks he'll miss the game. As for Gasol. If our "point guards" play properly he'll be unstoppable down low, if they don't, he'll struggle to get a good look.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AlleyOop:</div><div class="quote_post"> Who will stop Gasol tonight?</div> Foyle of course! This game has TOUGH and BLOWOUT written all over it. However, the W's are playing pretty well, and J-Rich is looking like he did at the beginning of the season. These next two games are just about as important as games can get. Playing "playoff" teams can no longer be barometer games, the W's need to get a win and need to quit "seeing where they're at." In my opinion they deserve to be last in the Pacific, and need to start winning now and accept the responsibility of playing well every night. I'm looking forward to *hopefully* big minutes from Diogu along with seeing Mike D, Pietrus, and J-Rich stepping up. I'm waiting for Gasol to get Foyle-d at the rim, and of cousre, Monta's first dunk on someone's grill. Go W's...every game is a must win.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting YayAreaFanatic:</div><div class="quote_post"> This game has TOUGH and BLOWOUT written all over it. </div> The Grizzlies have lost 11 of the last 15 and just lost the very important Mike Miller. I think this is going to be a tough, hard and close game, i really do.

I think this is going to be a tough, hard and close game, i really do.</div> As Walter would say in The Big Lebowski: Huh, I did not know that. http://www.moviewavs.com/cgi-bin/moviewavs...ski=fragile.wav But I meant that the Grizzlies always seem to play tough and blowout the W's, that's what I meant in the quote. I'm hoping the game is played at a high level and isn't a low scoring, sloppy affair.
Goddamn, we cannot be a fastbreak team. Only Baron Davis knows how to run a fastbreak successful. How many opportunities does Dfish screw up on the break? Too many, that's how many. Also, what's with Zarko at center and Dun at PF? One ballhandling forward at a time please! Put in Biedrins.
Biedrins was in a minor car accident today, and has a stiff neck. I don't know what the Warriors are thinking -- Monta Ellis should be doing most of the scoring tonight (along with Dunleavy and JRich) but Fisher and company refuse to give him the rock.
