Knicks @ Rockets

No game thread today, but Curry's looking good so far in the first. He has that "fire and desire" tonight. He has 5 points 2 rebounds in 6 minutes in the first quarter. That facial on Yao was nice, too.

i don't really wanna watch the knicks play anymore, they play boring basketball and they really dissapoint me, curry got fouled out, my favorite knick channing frye got fouled out...... so sad.... even when t-mac is having a horrible shooting night

That was a joke right? Because I could have been defending T-Mac and he would still have shot poorly. He made things way too hard for himself in the Rockets game. He simply let Richardson off the hook by settling for off balance jumpers. Richardson's defense didnt have much to do with McGrady struggling.


Anyway I think Isiah Thomas should be fired.

Regardless, the fact is T'Mac is an overrated player who doesn't use his god gifted abilities to be at a Kobe, Iverson, or Lebron status.

and if you have been watching the Knicks for the whole season, Richardson has been an impressive one on one defender.

I'm not going to argue whether he is overrated or not. And for his and the Rockets sake I hope he never reaches Iverson status. Richardson has definetely been better than last year but the fact remains McGrady just got lazy and refused to attack the basket. He was content to take bad shot after bad shot. McGrady does that alot no matter who is guarding him. So I disagree that Richardson's defense particularly bothered him.

umm i dont think so.. t-mac is way better than Q-rich... he doesnt ballhog like kobe or iverson.. and he can hit his shots in neones face.. dont even say hes overrated bcoz he is really good... he took mavs down by himslef last playoffs... and that facial on the tallest player in the league... T-Mac even said that he had off-court issues. and that was the reason he's been off in the last three games.. Dont take advantage of t-mac's issues by saying q-rich held him good.. it wasnt q-rich's defense it was mcgrady's off court isssues... Get it right!

I think u need to watch some of the rockets games.. Cuz first of all t-mac aint a lazy defender.. He takes it to the hoop.. and has a terrible shot selection??. He be hitting his shots.. Watch the rockets game video against the clippers on www.nba.com

no t-mac is not overrated he is at iverson level, he been dealing with back injuries that's why he dont wanna take it to the hoop that much, also, he got wacked on the face a few games ago, he had to wear a mask and he doesnt want that to happen anymore, this is why he hardly takes it to the basket now, if you saw t-mac in last year's playoffs, he carried the rockets in 7 games against the mavs if it wasnt for him, the rockets wouldnt even make the playoffs.... and whoever said CHANNING FRYE CANNOT REBOUND, JUST LOOK AT HIM NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tmac is a lazy defender(well at least he was when he was with the Magic). I wouldn't say his shot selection is really that bad or that he is afraid to take it to the basket, because both aren't true, but he does have a tendency to settle for jumpers rather than taking it to the rim. He can get to the rim at will. That's what I hated about him on the Magic, he could take it to the rim at will, but he would just jack up long shots.

I assume you're talking to me since I'm constantly questioning his defense, post up game, rebounding and overall toughness. I'm not sure exactly why you decided to respond to me here when we already have a thread about Channing Frye active and I'm not sure why you made your statement so big since I can see just fine but whatever. Channing Frye got nine rebounds against -if memory serves- one of the worst rebounding teams in the league and all of a sudden that makes him a good rebounder??? He's going to have to do that a little bit more often and against decent rebounding teams for me to consider him a good rebounder.
