No way, a team needs a superstar and what they are getting in return are bench players and maybe a starter. That's a no go on this trade.
It all depends on the motives. If you're going to trade Paul Pierce i can't imagine the aim is to get better immediately.
Yes and no. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Jerry West:</div><div class="quote_post">It all depends on the motives. If you're going to trade Paul Pierce i can't imagine the aim is to get better immediately.</div> Is that a riddle? Are you the riddler? Of course the aim isn't to get better immediately. That trade only has one player with real potential in it though (Cabarkapa). Calbert Cheaney is done, Fisher sucks, Murphy is Raef Lite, and thanks for taking Dan Dickau. I accidentally signed him to this contract when I picked up the wrong checkbook, I thought he was the pizza guy. In short: they gotta get something for Pierce if they really are letting him go. (Gulp!)

(Gulp!)</div> Call me crazy, but this one doesn't do anything for me. Chiefly for the reason already listed, but like y'all said, the only plus is kissing Dan Dickau goodbye. I don't see Zarko being too notable in the future either. And once again, let's stunt our youngster's growth a little while we're at it. I'm tired of this boneheaded nonsense coming out of the Celtics' camp, but trade rumors sure are fun aren't they? By the way, have I noticed lately that the amount of negativity on here (grn) is inversely proportional to how much people contribute? Call me crazy, but it's a nice trend.
It's not an offer, it's an insult. If the offer was real and not made up, Mullins needs to be drug tested.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting postpoint:</div><div class="quote_post">Murphy is Raef Lite</div> You're kidding, right?
Not kidding Lite as in contract wise. But both are good shooters for big men, both are awful defenders, and Murphy is a better rebounder. In a perfect world, the Celtics would have neither of them. They don't need another four that can't defend.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting olskoolFunktitude:</div><div class="quote_post">Id take Murphy for Raef straight up, but that trade idea makes me want to vomit</div> I'll second that. I would take Murphy straight up, but at the same time, I'd just do it for the cap flexibility. I would use Murphy extremely sparingly and get him out of town on the first bus. If GS is willing to take care of Dickau for us (kill him, Shanghai him, whatever they gotta do...) I would almost be tempted, but let's just chuck Scal on the heap and take another second rounder.
