If we are to contain him Haslem is going to need to do the dirty work he is good at such as boxing out the leagues leading rebounder and luring him out on the offensive end, and taking charges. Dwight still doesn't have the sharpest baskettball instincts so if Haslem can pull out a few tricks on him we're good to go. <font size=""5"">Miami Keys to The Game Run the Offense through The Big Guy Tony Battie is not nearly the competeititon Shaq was playing against on Sunday, so if he can keep it up we got this in the bad. We gotta run it through him and find routes to the hoop or open shots and WILL SOMEONE HIT THE OPEN J. Perimeter Defense Is our perimeter defense really bad or is it that teams just find the shooting touch agaisnt us? I have yet to find out, but its a good thing Orlando isn't a good long range threat or we could be in trouble. Expand We just had our biggest win of the season and now I think it is time to get a winning streak together and get our guys into playing basketball again. The playoffs are right around the corner and around this time last year we already had a big streak under our belt. I think it is our time. My Prediction This really should be an easy win, but the Florida rivals will make for an entertaining game, but I think Miami will come away in the 4th 104-93
Thanks Diesel A very good game by Wade and Shaq duo. Wade again with 30+ point game. And Shaq got a double double plus 4 blocks. Howard is promising kid man. This guy is a double double machine. I think if he knows how to finish his shot, I think he'll be a heluva player cuz he gets so many rebounds already. We still need to work on cutting down turnovers tho. When they pressure D on us, we gotta hold onto the ball. We turned it over so many times in the last 2-3 minutes. Overall good game tho.
Yeah a very good game. Wade dominated this game like the others. Shaq shipped in with 25 and 11 with those nice blocks as you mentoined. The scary part is he played 30 minutes. PErfect. Good win for us. I'm hoping for a nice long winning streak. Howard did get a double double, but I think we ddi a pretty nice job on him overall. We got him missing 5 foot jump shots. Anyone know why Posey wasn't playing tonight?
No idea. Didn't need him tho Howard missed lots of putback layups as well. Like I said, if this kid can finish, Orlando will be a scary team.
Howards got lots of time to improve and the future looks great for him. Whens the last time a high schooler averaged a double double in their rookie season. I know Amare, KG, and Jermaine O'Neal never did it. If Walker can play like this more consistantly I'll be ok with him, but I hate it when he chokes in those big games and fucks the game up. I hope Posey comes back though. Your right though we didn't need him tonight.
Yeeah that's the problem with Walker. He plays good one game and messes up 2-3 games in a row. Consistency is a key in playoffs.
I didn't bother to make another preview for tonights game consdiering it was against Orlando also. But the Heat won 110-100. Miami was killing them 90-65 at one point, but we still pulled the win away. Dwyane Wade and Antoine Walker were todays stars. Shaq appeared in an Offensive funk. I can tell the 2nd consecutive game in a row payed a toll on him. The Orlando Magic didn't let him beat them again and put more guys on him. I didn't notice this during the game, but Shaq, Flash, and Haslem got more than 75% of our teams rebounds. Kind of weeird.
Well Shaq did dish some nice passes tho. Especially that no look pass to Wade who eventually got and1 call.
