Its lebron's third year, who was a perfect defender at 21 and in their third year? give him time, most players are still developing at lebrons age.
For me it is a split between Tim Duncan and Shaq. In terms of impact, they presence on any team basically guarentee's a playoff berth. I would have Shaq above Tim Duncan but his injuries and weight seem to be catching up to him.
Hmmm... if we are talking about this season I might have to say Kobe or Lebron. This season Duncan isn't even the most dominant player on the Spurs.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting phiLA:</div><div class="quote_post">shaq used to be the most dominate man, and still is a great player, but he's clearly lost a step</div> Yeah, I agree he's lost a step. But he's still the most unstoppable player on earth. Then Duncan, then Kobe and Iverson..
if you D up duncan he won't be able to score coz of his slow mo moves hahaha Kobe is the most dominant both in the offensive and the defensive end for all guards/slashers/small guys.. among big men SHAQ is still the most dominant player duh!

Duh!
This season - Kobe Bryant for sure. It's pointless to talk about that he's the best offensive and defensive player in the league and it seems that he's going to give some assists too (i'm not taking it only from the all-star game, i saw a 3or4 games when he had 6-9 ast or smth. i)
I can't believe I just read through this entire thread without seeing a single person mentioning Kevin Garnett. It's sad that he's not surrounded with the kind of talent that Duncan is, because if he was, he'd be the one dominating all these lists.

He rebounds, scores, assists, blocks, clogs the paint, boxes out, he does everything for that team... as a result its hard for him to truly dominate a game sometimes because he isn't concentrating on less things. What I don't understand is how anyone can say Duncan is the most dominant force this season when he isn't even having the best season on his own team?! Duncan is barely more dominant than Tony Parker right now. If we are talking about multiple seasons then its Shaq... if we are talking about this season then its Kobe.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Jerry West:</div><div class="quote_post">Yep. He could easily get 30-35 a night, but that's just not him. Dwyane Wade is another i'd think of. Fast becoming another AI in the way he can just get the basket and score so consistently.</div> Why does everyone always have to agree with shape....yes you know your ball but that dosen't mean people have to go out of their way to pat you on the back........by the way, you are way off. Duncan is good, but you can't consider him dominant, because he is stinking at the line these days. Maybe in the playoffs you will see hack-a-duncan play....Lebron James is a triple double threat every night....he can do everything.
I'd have 2 say LeBron. Simply his has that ability to get his team into the game. He gives assists while still putting up the points, and can also be productive in the steals coloum.
LEbron personally i think is a ball hog, probably im wrong because i don't see much Cavs games. BTW, nice to see you inswinger.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">ALL DOMINANT TEAM: Chauncey Kobe Timmy Tracy Shaqqy</div> Woah woah woah. Chauncey Billups over Allen Iverson? Thats a first. Iverson has averaged almost twelve more points more than Billups this season. In addition, they both have around the same rebounding numbers (Iverson has a bit more, but only since he gets more minutes) as well. All in all, Billups takes Iverson on assists, but Iverson gets him on steals. But seriously, this is Iverson we're talking about here. How many times has Billups had fifty point games? Iverson has had two back to back and numerous times in his career.
well its just his own opinion, but i think ill take AI over billups too. AI has that leadership presence that just makes him a good leader. And if u havnet notcied aznballer, all the names on his team ends with the pronounciation of -ey
