Mullin doesn't know what he's doing. I'm glad he's taking the rest of the year off or he would resign Zarko to 5 yrs 38 million. Mullin made one good deal and drafted a few nice kids, he's the next Dumars.

I think Mullin wanted the exception to make cap space, not to get more. There are no expiring contracts that we could have gotten for the exception and if we traded it for a player with a long term deal we would be gaining more salary, which is definitely something we dont need.

No other GMs have any incentive to make a trade today other than Mullin. I'm not very happy with our roster but I think better coaching would solve some problems. We have alot more talent than the Lakers, Grizzlies, Hornets, and Jazz but somehow the team manages to play horribly and all of those teams get it done. I can't see how the Warriors underacheiving can be blamed on the players, if they were supposed to play flawlessly then why would anyone pay a coach 10 million $ to sit on a bench?

Monty is terrible, theres no way around that, hes getting a Dunleavy pass (aka the "Rookie" card even though hes been in the league for multiple years). Less than a year after getting Baron alot of fans are already begging to send him packing, Pietrus has one bad game and everyone wants him gone, but Montgomery consistently makes horrible decisions and somehow we lose alot more games than we should and no one is really on him.

Sorry to bring this back to coaching again but thats the biggest flaw on this team right now in my opinion.

well said BJM, i'm always criticizing him when he does this dumb substitutions. He still coaches as if this was a college game and his stragies suck. He always goes small when its not even working for us. And he always puts in the wrong players at the wrong time

GS, where the trade exception goes to die. Isn't that the second TE that Mully has not used in a year. I thought they were a valuable asset.[IMG]

No that wasn't the trade deadline. Trade deadline is next thursday I think. Today was the deadline to use the warriors trade exception.

oh well more bad news, we are last in the division now, kings went up by alot. i still doubt we will go 18-8. warriors better turn things around fast or else no playoffs for sure.

For us the uses of the exception were mainly as a way to cash in Dun for a shorter deal,or trade Fish or Foyle for, say,Mo Taylor or ?,who we might pay more for,for a year and a half, but would expire. The trouble? Well teams think they can get a better deal at trade deadline.

The limits on what can be done with an exception limit its "value". I saw someone suggest we deal Fish and the exception to Charlotte for whatever. Well, you CAN"T combine a player + exceptiion as a package. Charlotte, being under cap anyhow, has no way to use it unless they add a HUGE salary package. With the clock ticking,a team must have a deal ready to go,or they would not bother.
