@ When: 7:30PM Feb. 15 2006 Where: The Arena in Oakland WARRIORS STARTING LINEUPS CLIPPERS STARTING LINEUPS __________________________________ I think Vladimir Radmanovic may play this game so look for him to get some minutes also Ross is doubtful with a sore left back. Hopefully Biedrins plays we really need a backup center. Baron, Troy and Taft are doubtful.
it would probably be a big morale-boost if they could come out of this one with a W. we have played HORRIBLY against our division...plus, this last place in the pacific $h!t doesn't sit right with me. if we're gonna have any chance in this game at all, we're gonna have to slow down brand...cuz there's no way we're gonna stop him.
Let's see how well Jrich rebounds back from a poor game last Monday. If Jrich scores his usual 22 or more points per game we could be in it as long as we play the defense and get the rebounds. As with all perimeter based teams, we need to get any advantage we can in the paint since we lack inside scoring.
There were some stupid turnovers, too many points off turnovers... Jrich has to learn where to be off the ball so he can help his man on the double team and he's got to be more aggressive. Him and some dudes were giving up on plays or standing around. For the all times I get upset about Pietrus' bball i.q. he at least moves constantly. Jrich should follow that so he can get open and go after his own missed shots or others' misses. Dunleavy has to hit those shots. He is just so inaccurate this year.
pietrus is making up from last night getting easy buckets and moving without the ball. jrich shot is off but hes getting a couple of easy buckets here and there and hes hitting the glass. the fish is playing fantastic with 7 assists, 3 steals, 13 points, while shooting 75% from the field and perfect from the line. only if he plays like this coming of the bench. good half so far keep up the good work!
Did you see Monta run the break, make the 3-on-2 a 3-on-1, and dish to Fish? That's textbook, baby. Maybe Fish will study that piece of tape. I've been beating that horse lately, but it's been so evident.
great game so far fisher has been playing great besides a couple dumb shots, peitrus has been impressive j-rich has been playing solidly, with TWO absolutely jaw-dropping baskets ikes been good on the boards, and is doing a good job of staying outta foul trouble lets just hope we have a better 4th quarter than the last time we played the clips!!
Warriors have really turned up the intensity. They're playing good defense and they're hustling like they want it bad. They don't want to get sweeped by the Clippers for the 2nd season in a row. Also Jrich has been very effective. He looked a bit sluggish and static on some plays but he's really taking some good shots and is as active as Pietrus in the 2nd half. Pietrus has been playing really well, but there's some times when he gets too carried away with the ball. He's been hitting his catch and shoot shots at least, scoring well, and is hard to catch off the ball. Fish has been doing pretty well with 9 assists so far. I love Montay and Pietrus' quickness. Foyle's defense and Diogu's ability on the glass have been huge factors. Great effort by them. I wish Dunleavy would hit and make more shots, but he's not hurting the team at least in the role of "point forward", he's been where he's supposed to be even when not receiving the ball. We got a really good lineup when we have Pietrus, Fisher, Richardson, and Ellis out there, I noticed. Man those guys are quick with their hands and just really active off the ball and on defense. They like to run. BTW I really dig Ellis. He's becoming a high school phenom for us. Maybe it's too soon, but I really like his understanding of the game. Warriors' rotation on team defense has been excellent. They're knowing when to retreat, when to pressure, when to rotate and switch. They're also being more aggressive on the boards. Pietrus and J.R. are giving us many 2nd chance points. Good team effort on moving the ball and Dun/Fish/Jrich are providing good floor leadership.
Is there a worse end of the quarter player than DFish? Great game but awful clock management at the end of a quarter. We've got the ball, end of the 3rd, 30 secs left, 24 on shot clock, and he goes into the paint and loses the ball? Why? 17 pts on 5-9 shooting is fabulous. Monta, I love the guy. I was very skeptical but he is so smooth and unaffected by what is going on. He appears to be oblivious to the fact that this is the NBA!!! and its just another game. My sense is he could be better than JRich, he's just got to get some seasoning. I still think that Pietrus is going to be what he is, a high energy guy but someone who will still be a low basketball IQ guy.
I guess you take the good with the bad. Our best player on the floor (Jrich) misses back to back free throws and loses the ball so easily in traffic. Sigh... Pietrus is one of those players as well. He's good and then he's also bad. Take the good with the bad. I love him despite hating his guts on Monday for doing the stupid foul. He's been a factor in this game because he can create offense and hustle. No other player at that height has that quickness on our roster. The difference in this game has been rebounds, 2nd chance points, defense, and the ability to capitalize off the other teams' turnovers. Once we play the defense, rebound, we can run the break better if the outlet pass is there. We're also taking better shots, hustling for loose balls and offensive rebounds, and sharing the ball. Closing this game will be a huge win and learning experience for this team. Man I love the hustle and they're making the effort to run with what the coaches want. There's more inside/outside ball movement and cycling of the ball, greater activity moving off the ball. Edit: Dammit, I wish Dunleavy would at least come close to hitting a perimeter shot. He's not even close. Pietrus has cooled off as well.
get ready to be beat by the rockets next week cuz the rockets will pwn clippers again first then warriors second and so on
why do we just chuck up dumb 3's when we have a solid lead in the 4th??? it's a damn good thing we're controlling the offensive glass, otherwise the clips would have a decent shot at a comeback
it's sad to see golden state not using the clock at all when they have the lead.....especially pietrus...no idea what's he doing out there?
Wow, I missed the entire game until that last possession where we got like 3 or 4 offensive rebounds. Looks like the defense must have been excellent because no one is really having a great game.

Christ it's nervous time despite an initial huge lead. 4 posession game, but still I feel like the Warriors could turn the ball over and do something stupid. C'mon guys manage that clock better! This is the reason we can't go running all the time, we gotta learn to control that tempo and get points anytime we want in the half court or the open court. Control the tempo.
