<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">While most of the Jazz are enjoying a week's worth of rest and relaxation during the NBA All-Star Game break, rookie point guard Deron Williams is preparing to play some more ball.
Williams is taking part in Friday night's annual rookie-sophomore challenge game, part of All-Star Weekend festivities at the Toyota Center in Houston.
What he will get out of it remains to be seen.
Jazz coach Jerry Sloan can only hope it's not the pleasure of playing like one would on the playground, which is what these affairs typically disintegrate into by the time all is said and done.
"I would think it would be something that would be worthwhile for him," Sloan said before the Jazz lost to the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night, their final game before a break that has them idle until playing host to Boston next Tuesday night at the Delta Center.
"Hopefully," Sloan added, "it's not a wild situation where you just goof around. That's a thing you want to try to avoid, in my opinion."
When forward Andrei Kirilenko took part in the 2002 and 2003 rookie-sophomore games, the last member of the Jazz to play in the challenge, he left with self-esteem raised.</div>

Oh that's great. I'm glad he's ready for an All-Star game, where their is no defense, and no offensive sets.

I could play in a damn All-Star game at 5 in the morning, hung over, and do well.
