Dirk and the Mavs are on a great blaze with this one game win streak and it doesnt look like it's gonna stop. Spectators are thinking they can get this one up to 2, and maybe even......3. Dirk looks as good as ever. Not needing to carry the load every night, and the Mavs hope to go into All-Star weekend with a W.

I just love watching Marquis Daniels play basketball. He makes the right decision with the basketball 85% of the time out there.

Mavs 103 Wizards 97 Grades: Best of the West.

The Mavs were able to keep Gilbert Arenas under control, but the Wizards just kept on coming tonight. The Mavs were able to answer every time the Wizards closed making for a good game, but you could hear the boo-birds loud and clear tonight as the Wizards made it a real nail biter in the fourth period. Still, the Mavs managed to get the win on a night the Spurs fell to the Sixers in overtime. Kind of nice to go into the All-Star break with the top seed in the West.

Laura Green : A+; Laura is getting more and more air time as her talent is getting the recognition it deserves! +36

FSN Southwest : B+; Good lingering coverage tonight. Not quite up to UPN standards, but not too bad. +23

Johnson: A+, Avery had to work hard for this one tonight. Avery and his staff did have some nice plays called, both in game and out of timeouts.

Howard: A; Josh led the Mavs with 26 points (10-17 FG, 2-2 treys, 4-4 FT) to go with 6 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots. Zero turnovers. +29

Nowitzki: B; Dirk was close behind Josh with 25 points (8-14 FG, 1-3 treys, 8-10 FT) to go with 7 rebounds. Dirk also picked up 4 assists, but should have had more. Unfortunately, Dirk also led the Mavs with 3 turnovers. +25

Diop: C+; DeSagana?s energy level has taken a big hit as Diop is struggling to stay out of foul trouble. Diop gets called for 4 fouls in only 10 minutes. Zero turnovers. +6

Terry: B; Jason scooted through tonight?s game taking turns frustrating Gilbert Arenas (4-22 FG) and threw in 19 points (7-18 FG, 3-7 treys, 2-4 FT) just for fun. Terry also threw in 3 boards, 3 assists, 1 steal and a blocked shot just for grins. +13

Griffin: B; Adrian, as usual didn?t make a splash on the box score, but had 4 nice assists. +3

M?Benga: C; DJ was ready tonight as once again Avery had DJ first off the bench after Diop picked up 2 fouls. DJ?s previous effort was not to be repeated though as he picked up 3 fouls in 5 minutes. The good news, though, is that allowed Erick to run around most of the rest of the game and not be in foul trouble. +1

Van Horn: C+; Keith put up 7 points (2-6 FG, 1-4 treys, 2-2 FT), mainly playing center. +2

Stackhouse: C; Jerry?s shot was way off tonight, going 1-7 from the field but Stackhouse grabbed 5 rebounds. +1

Harris: B; Devin must be feeling much better as he was scooting pretty well. Devin had a really nice sequence with 2 assists before going in solo for a layup. Devin had a nice blocked shot, but unfortunately got caught on the follow-up for a foul. +8

Daniels: B; Marquis had one of his better games in quite a while on his way to 10 points (4-5 FG, 0-1 trey, 2-4 FT) and 5 assists. +14

Dampier: B+; Erick led the Mavs with 9 rebounds to go with 2 points and a blocked shot. +8

    Armstrong : DNP-CD.

    Powell: DNP-CD.

Podkolzin: DNP-Inactive, Pavel had surgery to repair his right foot and ankle. Avery has mentioned that as soon as Pavel is healthy he will be sent to the Fort Worth Flyers to get playing time.

Marshall : Marshall : DNP-Inactive, Rawle has been sent to the Fort Worth Flyers (NBDL) to get playing time.
